Calantha stood at the front gate of her house, staring into the distance.

To anyone passing by, she looked like an ordinary woman.

She was one of Lucifer’s seven children—the supreme ruler of Hell.

For years, she had been sent to the human world with one purpose: to hunt down demons who betrayed Hell, capture them, and drag them back to the place they belonged.

Back to Hell.

Back to Lucifer.

Back to punishment.

But somewhere along the way, Calantha had made the one mistake demons were never supposed to make.

She fell in love.

She sacrificed everything for the man she loved.

Her power.

Her identity.

Her life in Hell.

And perhaps, eventually, even her family.

The sound of approaching footsteps pulled her from her thoughts.

She turned around.

A familiar figure was walking toward her.

The man she loved.

The man she had sacrificed everything for.

“Calantha.”

She smiled softly.

“Yes?”

Then her eyes widened slightly.

“Oh. You’re here?”

He stopped in front of her, studying her face.

“How is my baby doing? Is she alright?”

Calantha raised an eyebrow.

“It’s not a she. It’s a he.”

His eyes widened.

“Oh… oh, okay.”

He quickly corrected himself.

“How are they doing?”

“They’re fine.”

Calantha smiled.

Then her expression changed.

“Where are you coming from?”

“The court.”

He paused before asking,

“And you?”

“My office.”

Calantha nodded.

“Okay. Let me make you dinner. What would you like?”

“Of course not.”

She frowned.

“Why?”

“Because we’re eating out today.”

Calantha stared at him for a moment before a small smile appeared on her lips.

“Okay.”

For a moment, everything felt normal.

Almost peaceful.

Almost human.

But Calantha knew better.

Because every full moon, something happened that reminded her exactly who she was.

Her underlings came to visit her from Hell.

And tonight was no different.

“My lady.”

Calantha turned.

Several familiar figures stood before her.

Her expression immediately became serious.

“How are you doing?”

She paused.

“How is…”

Before she could finish, one of them interrupted.

“Lilith fought with Zephyr.”

Calantha’s eyes widened.

“Really?”

She took a step forward.

“Why?”

Her voice became tense.

“What happened?”

The demon lowered his head.

“She…”

He hesitated.

Calantha’s eyes narrowed.

“She what?”

Silence.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

And Calantha had a terrible feeling that whatever had happened in Hell was about to drag her back into the world she had desperately tried to escape.

A world where she wasn’t simply Calantha.

She was the daughter of Lucifer.

The hidden Governor of Hell.

And the demons were coming for her.
