DAMIEN’S POV When I got to Victoria’s room, she was sleeping. I watched her sleep and sat down. She looked so peaceful that I would have never even believed that she was on the verge of death. She looked peacefully and almost as if she had had a good dream. This was a huge contrast to how she was when she was awake and in my presence. She was often crying and pleading with me to reconsider. All the love that we had once shared seemed to be gone. I guess I was to blame for the way things had happened. I was the one who had gone against her and made decisions without consulting win her. It’s not that I did that because I didn’t care about her but because I knew what we needed and I had noticed she was too scared to make the decisions that had to be made.
