Becky’s POV As I emerged, the cool night air felt against my wounded flesh. My body's suffering was nothing compared to the tempest roaring within me. Each memory of what Lydia and Samantha accomplished was keener than the next. Though all I felt was a deep, boiling wrath, I wanted to scream and cry. I had to breathe and ponder. Still, more than that, I required a strategy. Although Lydia and Samantha had offended me, they had not broken me up. And I was not about to let them triumph. I strolled along the peaceful street, the far-off sound of an ambulance siren disappearing. My heart was heavy, divided between the unquestionable draw I still felt towards Paul and my wrath towards him. He had let this come about. He would have allowed those ladies to contaminate his psyche against me. S
