Becky’s POV The deceptive peace provided by the daylight peeping through our new safe abode came from dust. The tension from last night still felt weighty to me, a weight that persisted even with the sun. Leo was on the phone with Jenna, basing our next actions on the intelligence she supplied. Left by myself with my thoughts, I tried to make sense of all that had transpired. Vulnerability was a strange sensation.
