Ethan's P.O.V.
When Ms.Grant entered, I felt my heart drop for a whole second. She looked exactly like my late wife, had all the curves in all the right places, her medium tan skin tone, her long beautiful dark brown hair, with captivating amber eyes, and full lips. I couldn't get enough, I pushed away the running thoughts. I tried to keep myself focused. The interview went perfectly and Ms.Grant was not only a perfect candidate to be my personal assistant, she looked so much like Sofia. She was smart and came top of her class and graduated at twenty-three with a master's degree, which is impressive and was very similar to Sofia. The way she presented herself and she didn't look at me like the other people I had interviewed. Most of the women that came in did not have the skills or background to get the job and wanted to eat me alive the moment they entered my office. The man only wanted to show off everything they had achieved and how much I needed to hire them. Lucky Ms.Grant was the perfect candidate and I was not going to miss the chance. I gave her the job and saw a bolt of joy in her eyes. When she shook my hand, it was warm and soft. All I could do was nod my head as she walked away. Helena bolted through the doors and ran towards me. I stood up and picked her up. Swinging her in the air, she squealed and laughed. I stopped and hugged her.
"Papa. Did you hire her? " She asked curiously.
"Who are you talking about?". Responding still confused.
"Papa! I am asking about Vianna. Did you hire her?", she replied, annoyed at my confusion. Slapping her hand to her forehead. Something her mother always did when she got irritated with me.
"Oh Ms. Grant. I did, but how do you know her?", answering Helen's question. How did she know her? I was second guessing myself if I did the right thing hiring Ms.Grant. Was Ms.Grant using my daughter to get to me or do her harm? Is Ms.Grant lying about her intentions? Helena giggled and signed. Looking at me and started laughing again. Once she starts, it takes her a moment to recollect herself.
She finally replied. "Papa, your face looked so funny. I met Vianna in the elevator, she was super nice to me." A sign of relief washed over me and I laughed a bit at myself. I was worried about nothing.
"That's good to hear." At least Helena found Ms.Grant approachable and not scary. Since Ms.Grant is going to be around Helena a lot. I need someone I can trust with her. "Do you want spaghetti and meatballs or pizza? Since Mrs.A took her day off today."
"Pizza!! We rarely have pizza!!""And Jen will join us today as well. "
"Really?" Helena rolled her eyes "You know you have to put some effort into getting along with Jen. She likes you."
"Sure"
"She's been around for a while now."
"Two years is not a while, it's more of a minute and all that time is spent with you. She never spends time with me unless she feels forced to and when she does, she is rude."
"Elena, we've had this talk many times. She says you push her away any time she tries to get close to you"
"Papa, she just doesn't like that I don't do whatever she wants me to and thinks I'm a spoiled brat."
"Elena, maybe you are exaggerating."
"Its not exaggerating and I wish you saw that. I'll wait for you in the car, papa". I want them to get along soon. Finished up some paper work and sent an email to Ms.Grant about all the things she needs to get done for tomorrow.
