CHAPTER ONE

Am Melanie Martinez and we are currently moving to new Jersey to live with my mom's new boyfriend since she wants us to bond with him.

" mum?" Ben called out.

" yes honey " she replied taking a glance of him from the car mirror.

"do we really need to move out ,my friends are gonna miss me?" he asked.

" seriously mum? we didn't have to move out ,I was finally blending in with everyone and boom we are moving" I added too.

" honey you guys need to get to know Gorge and his kids before we get married and that means all of us living together" mum replied.

" But I liked it back at home" came out as Ben's reply.

" honey can we not talk about this okay? we have talked about this enough alright?" she replied and Ben kept quiet.

I know how he must be feeling but I feel much worse right now.

I have just started dating the hottest guy in my school,now Jessy can have him all to herself.

I hissed at the thought of that and a message popped up on my phone

it was a gist from the hot gossip group and it says"Jessy and Jackson have finally become official"

" I knew it " I said in frustration.

" it's anything wrong mel?" mum asked still focused on the road.

" ofcourse not, nothing is alright my boyfriend has been taken from me "

I replied.

" Mel am sure you will find another hot boy here in new Jersey" mum replied flashing me one of her smiles.

" wait , how did you know he is a hot guy?" I asked.

" you can never date a not hot boy so I know darling " she replied.

I smiled at her because she is kinda right,when it comes to boys I have those I date and those I friendzone.

Am actually fifteen years old and my brother is eight .

mum had me when she was seventeen so I never knew my father but I took Ben's dad as my own dad.

mum is in her early thirties and very gorgeous.

" we are here guys " she said

I looked out the window to see a man standing in front of a gorgeous looking house.

" that is Gorge and remember guys be nice "she said before alighting from the car.

" hi hon how have you been?"

she asked as she moved closer to the man .

she gave him a hug and then kissed him.

" ugh I can not believe this" I sighed relaxing my head on the head rest .

" maybe it will be nice here " Ben said and I smiled at him.

" you don't get it" I said before getting down.

" hey how are you Mel?" Gorge asked approaching me.

" it's Melanie and am fine thank you" I replied.

" okay I will keep that in mind" he replied.

" baby get down" mum said to Ben but he didn't even bulge.

" I don't feel like yet" he replied.

" okay honey take your time, but the cookies will go to your new brothers then" mum teased.

she knows how much he loves cookies so he opened the door immediately.

" mum don't you dare" he said and I couldn't help but chuckle

" okay I won't " mum replied to him giving him a peck on the hair.

" come on let's go in" mum said.

" by the way Gorge, where are the boys?" mum asked.

" here" a voice said behind us.

we turned to see this handsome young boy standing there staring at us.

" hi" Ben waved at him and he smiled.

" hey dad are they the new siblings?" he asked Gorge.

" yes and Melanie meet nelson my first son and nelson meet Melanie"

Gorge introduced.

" hi" nelson said extending his hand to me which I took by the way.

I loved hot guys and nelson is way hotter my ex boyfriend.

" where is Brian?" Gorge asked nelson.

" I don't know maybe in library or something" he replied then turned to me.

" would you like to have a tour around the house?" he asked.

" yeah sure" I replied casually.

" me too nelson" Ben chipped in.

" nice Lil bro let's go" he replied and we all left.

we walked around the house Abit, the house is more like a mansion with a very nice garden.

he showed the both of us to our rooms , the rooms were big just the size of my last room.

I unpacked my belongings and went downstairs.

"hey you must be Melanie, dad told me about you" a boy said.

I looked at him he might probably be thirteen or so.

he looks like nelson but he wears glasses. I smiled at him

"and you must be Brian I've heard of you too" I replied and he chuckled.

His deep dimples flashed out.

" you guys are welcomed, I hope you like the house though?" he asked.

" yeah I do ,it's really nice" I replied.

He said nothing again and went back to reading the book in his hand.

" I'll head back upstairs then" I said.

" yah sure see ya"

he replied and I went upstairs.

I slumped on the bed and heaved a sigh.

" so this is what am gonna be doing here?" I asked noone In particular.

" do you wanna go somewhere?" a voice asked.

I got up from the bed and saw nelson staring at me.

then he smiled before speaking up again " am not a ghost you know so stop staring at me like that".

I blinked my eyes then looked away

" what are you doing here?" I asked.

" didn't you hear me? I asked " do you wanna go somewhere?"

he repeated.

" why would I want to go somewhere with you?" I asked back

and he licked his lips for awhile.

" you can just tell me if you want to come " he replied.

"well then go am not interested " I replied lying down on the bed.

He shrugged first before turning to leave, at first I thought that he was leaving but then he turned again.

" please Melanie follow me, I told dad am showing you around the town" he pleaded.

" but am not interested" I replied standing from the bed.

" okay " he replied raising his hands in surrender.it kinda made me to chuckle a little.

" fine I will go with you " I said when he was about to go and he turned with a nice smile on his face.

" cool get changed and meet me downstairs" with that he left.

I changed into something really nice and went downstairs to see him watching the television with Ben.

" nice " he said looking at me properly.i know I have a nice body but he looked like he was drooling so i asked " is it that nice?"

" yeah you look ni..ice" he dragged leaving the house and I followed him.

we met mum and gorge outside.

" are you guys off already?" mum asked.

" yes mum we are" I replied trying to keep my voice polite.

nelson led me to his car and we left

" so we're exactly are you taking me to?" I asked.

" to a party" he replied.

my eyes widened " A what?" I yelled.
