Reality Bites

Tori The weekend was incredible. Reality crept up on us Sunday evening, rearing it’s chaotic head. I could even feel Tommy’s demeanor change a little, almost filled with trepidation. “I could always stay with you,” I said, suddenly, as we packed up to head back home, “I need the practice.” He chuckled, “We got a lot of practice this weekend.” My cheeks reddened as I recalled every time we’d been intimate and all the places we’d christened throughout the home. We obviously made time for other things to, but when Tommy took me up the wall like he owned me, I couldn’t think of anything more I’d rather be doing. I was indeed a little sore that night. “I meant with all of the other stuff,” “I think going back with me raises suspicions,” He said, “At least for tonight. This week we’ll be practicing driving and shooting again after school. I noticed you only work Thursday and Friday?” I nodded, albeit so disappointed, but I did miss my dad, too. He needed me for the little time we had left before I went off to college. He looked at my face and I guess it screamed disappointment because I felt his arms wrap around me and lift me up into his arms. “We’ll be together again, I promise,” He said, “Don’t you worry. I can’t think of anything except being inside of you.” “Or you losing at Scrabble?” He winced, but smiled, “You’re the brainiac here.” There wasn’t any real reason why we were acting like a couple, but damn it felt so natural. Even on the way home, he kept his hand on my thigh—glancing in my direction every now and then to flash me a smile. Tommy I could have stayed at that lake house forever with her. I hadn’t stayed up talking about my future or what I wanted to do—or even my childhood, personal memories or my favorite things since I was a kid. She wanted to know so much about me and we found we had more in common than originally thought. Even when we were quiet and watching television, the solace was incredibly soothing. Too bad it didn’t matter. I already knew what Glenn wanted from me and he was going to get his way. I kissed her goodbye before she got into her car at Hazel’s house and headed home. Hazel gave me a knowing look, but I let it go. “You coming back to the warehouse tonight?” “Nah, Shane’s in a mood.” “A mood?” “He’s up in arms about you and Tori.” “I thought he was OK with her now,”I rolled my eyes, knowing that it would take a lot from Tori to get Shane to back off. Apparently, people believing we were an item was wearing thin. Was is it really all that hard to think I could be involved with Tori Loomis? I guess it would. “Thanks for the heads-up,”I waved goodbye and headed home. Tori My dad was in a strange mood. He wanted to know every last detail about my weekend with the girls—he even wanted to see pictures. Unbeknownst to him, I’d asked Lexi and Hazel to take pics inside of Hazel’s house beforehand and THEN take pics of what appeared to be a bunch of people (neighbors had come through when Tommy and I were roasting marshmallows) having a good ole time. Not one picture of Tommy and no real indication of where the lake house was situated. I didn’t need him tracking me. He seemed to believe me and I knew the relief was washing over me like a spring shower. “Well, I sure am happy you’ve got some friends, Tori. I understand it hasn’t been easy for you,” He was saying to me over dinner. “Yeah, but it’s OK. They’re really nice girls,”I was shocked that he hadn’t floored me with a bunch of personal questions about them, but I’d mentioned that to Tommy. He said Lexi and Hazel never left a trail back to them and they worked at the local mall together—with family having barely any connections to crime, save for some speeding tickets or petty theft here and there. I knew that’s why Dad wasn’t digging into my brain for information, but he wouldn’t get it from me anyway. I played some rummy with him before bed—something we liked to do with my mom before she died. Mom was a huge card fanatic and it felt like she was still around when we played. On the inside though, I couldn’t wait to go to school the next day—even though I was still a thorn in everyone’s side. Tommy Shane was such a jackass. “Why this chick? Why HER?” “You’ve been drinking and God knows what else,” I told him, shoving him off me when he got in my face, “I like Tori.” “Since f*****g when?” Shane asked, staggering to and fro, “She’s a rat. Her dad’s a rat. She’s a liability, man.” “I will stab you in the eye if you keep talking about her,”I told him, pushing him up against the wall as Glenn and Donnie watched. “Oh yeah?” “Try me, asshole.” I sneered, pulling my blade out of my pocket. “Thomas..” Glenn warned from behind me. I shoved off of Shane and watched him slide to the floor. “Leave. Her. Alone.” Was all I said before brushing passed my brother and into my room. I guess I’d have to spice things up a bit between me and Tori for Shane and Donnie to come around. Tori “Oh my God!” He pushed himself deeper inside of me until there was nothing left for me to do but whimper into his chest. Tommy had dragged me into the janitorial closet at school—right in front of Donnie and Shane and f****d me like a wild beast. I know people could hear the banging and clanging and dropping of items—even the janitor left us alone after Tommy made himself known. “This would be a lot easier if you’d wear a dress,” He said, trying to pry my legs open wider, but the jeans were a hindrance. “Ohhhh...” Was all I could say. I would gladly wear a dress if this was what I could look forward to every day, “Right there....” “Hmmm.....hmmm yessss, Tori....Fuckkkk,” He plowed into me over and over again, bottoming out and pushing off me just to do it all over again. I leaned against the wall and tried my best to hold onto him as he scooted me further up the table he’d placed me on once we were locked inside the closet. “Come for me,” He demanded in my ear, “Come on my c**k because I swear to God if you don’t, I’m going to open this door and let the whole school watch.” I have no idea why that turned me on. In a flash, I was creaming all over his d**k—probably even more than I did the day before when he took me on the hood of his car before school let out. In a second, he was filling me with his seed pushing deeper and deeper until I thought he’d break me in two. “Dress. Tomorrow.” He said, pulling out and pulling up his jeans. Sweat glistened off of his brown and I’m sure my entire body was smoldering. He helped me off the table and I pulled up my pants—I was a wobbly, goopy mess, but that just made him chuckle. “You’ll smell like me all damn day, Tori,” He said, kissing me softly, before we exited the closet. Sometimes, Shane and Donnie would still be standing there—Glenn would be gone, of course. “You two need to get a handle on those hormones,” Donnie laughed. Shane grinned, but I could tell he still didn’t like me much. I had a few more days until the store hits and we’d gone a few times to the gun range. Tommy was impressed with my shooting. “Been playing video games?” He joked. “I’m just not as nervous,”I shrugged. It was true, though. He made me more comfortable with each passing day and that was something neither one of us could understand. I couldn’t be...falling... No. He was my enemy—sort of. Maybe not my ENEMY, but he was my bully and caused me so much pain—until now. Tommy When it came time to do the hits, I knew she’d be nervous and I asked her if she wanted a Xanax, but she simply shook her head. “I want to be alert,” She told me, leaning up against me in the hallway of the math hall, “Just tell me it’s going to be OK...” I wish I was telling the truth, but I had no idea. I think she knew I was lying to her when I said it was all going to be fine. For some reason, Tori had become a little saddened by mine and Glenn’s plight in life. We’d discussed it a few times over the days leading up to the first hit. I even took her to the house we wanted to get back. “Isn’t it nice?”I asked her as we pulled into the driveway. She was so shocked by the house on the good side of town that I thought Tori was going to topple out of the car. “Tommy..” She got out, softly speaking my name into the wind, “When did you lose it?” “We’ve lost it a few times now,” I admitted, stepping out of the car and putting my arm around her, “My dad owned it and then he went to jail, my mom couldn’t...” I trailed off because we’d been through my mother’s fuckery way too many times in the last week. Tori figured out the only reason we could afford the warehouse was because of all the temp jobs we acquired. The hits and drug deals? All the money went to Hector and his syndicate—which we just so happened to be a part of. Our employment to Hector was also supposed to be ensuring that our mother remained safe. “It was supposed to stay in our family, but my parents had debts,” I shrugged, but I noticed that she never judged me. She didn’t pity me, though. I liked that, too. There was a sadness in her eyes for me and I could definitely see that. Not like before. Not when she hated my guts. Those were eyes full of rage. We didn’t go in, though. I’d shown her pictures of the interior and the neighborhood beforehand and I was smitten at how she took to it like a person seeing their new home. Shit...I needed to stop. God, I couldn’t do this with her anymore. Tori The hits happened. I’d like to say that they were wild and dangerous, but I was so preoccupied with not getting caught that I pretended I wasn’t even there. I wanted to run, but I didn’t. Something about Tommy’s reassurance made me stay. I did them. I helped. I drove. I carried a gun. I wore a ski mask. I had panic attacks, but I’d redeemed myself and then he wanted to give me a cut. “NO!” I yelled after our last hit on a shoe store, “I said yesterday that I’m not taking this money and I meant it.” Tommy understood. I couldn’t risk looking like I was in this situation because I one hundred percent wanted to be. I got on Shane and Donnie’s good sides and became almost like a weird little sister for them. Hell, even Hazel was getting more attention from Shane and that was nice. They seemed happy. I could tell he was the type who definitely didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve. Everything was fine—or so I thought. I stayed at Tommy’s about two nights a week because I couldn’t risk my father finding out about anything. I knew Tommy got off on what he did, though. He might have had his “legit” reasons for doing the crimes, but he was turned on by the adrenaline. So much so, that we got back to the warehouse one night and, before we f****d, he asked me if I’d give him a blow job. It hadn’t even occurred to me that I hadn’t even attempted to yet—even though we’d done damn near everything else (except for pummeling my back door which I forbade him to do). “I—I don’t know how to,-” I blushed, almost tearing up. “Just don’t bite it off,” He chuckled, grinning at me as I lowered myself to my knees and pulled his sweats down as slow as I could possibly go. His c**k sprang free—saluting me and practically hitting me in the face. “Take your hands and pump up and and down like this,” Tommy took my hands and placed them on his c**k, showing me the motions, “Then once you’ve got a nice pace going, start licking the tip of my dick.” I did everything he told me—step by step—until I was doing my own thing, deep-throating him by the end of it. He thrust his hips, causing his length to go even further, hitting the back of my throat. I didn’t gag, though. I’d prepared myself for that. It might not have been my favorite thing to do, but watching Tommy enjoy my lips around his c**k and the way he ran his fingers through my hair while I pleased him, made my core yearn for him. Everyone at school got out of my way. I felt different, stronger, two and a half months of pure bliss—and the dissociation I had to endure when I did the hits was almost dreamlike. I couldn’t believe I was a criminal. After they pocketed some of the money most of it went to their mother and the dude named Hector. Tommy forbade me from going anywhere near Hector or his mother and that was fine with me. I already didn’t like his mother too much. Tommy told me that one day when they got the house back and their mother wouldn’t keep putting them in harm’s way, they’d be done with all of it. I didn’t know if I believed him, but I wanted that for him. Tommy “Let her go, Thomas.” Glenn told me as we entered the warehouse that Sunday night. Tori wasn’t with me and I wanted her to be. I wanted her to know she wasn’t alone when it came to this situation—that I had her back. “We’re done with her,” He kept repeating to me, “And you should be, too.” I was so sick of his voice. “Stop telling me what to f*****g do!” I yelled, turning around and placing my hands on his shoulders, “Why is it so bad that she’s with us? They are!” I pointed to Hazel and Lexi who were quietly sitting with Shane and Donnie in the living room watching everything unfold. “Because she’s Jim’s daughter, dumbass!”Glenn shoved me away, “She’s not one of us and you know better. She will rat us out the minute she gets a chance and you got too f*****g close to her!” “I did not.” “Tell me you don’t like her then.” I paused, “What?” He shook his head, “Tell me you don’t like Tori Loomis.” Shane and Donnie were more than interested in this conversation—and surprised. “I thought Tori was with us?” Donnie asked, curiously. “She probably could be, but does anyone here really believe that we’re safe with the cop’s daughter around?” Glenn asked the room. “I like Tori,” Lexi spoke up. “Doesn’t f*****g matter,” I muttered, “Glenn’s made up his mind.” Glenn nodded, “You know what to do or I’ll do it myself.” “You’re a real asshole,”I told him, wanting so badly to beat the hell out of him. I knew what had to be done and it was killing me inside. The next morning, we were crowding around my locker, as usual, when she walked in. So f*****g beautiful with a big smile spread across her face. She’d been told the last Tuesday that there would be no more hits for her and I knew that she was thankful. “Hi!” She waved to me, stepping into my space. “What do you want, rat?” My voice quaked. I could barely believe myself. “W-what did you say?” Tori trembled, looking around at the crowded lobby. The mood had shifted and there was a silence. “I said what do you want RAT?” God, this was killing me. “I-I don’t understand...” Her bottom lip began to quiver and her shoulders shook. Tori tried so hard to hold in her tears. “Don’t you? I f*****g used you to get what I wanted and now? I don’t need you anymore,” I lied. Glenn—who I thought would be quiet this whole time—spoke up. “Yeah, he’s done with that tight p***y,” My brother chuckled, “Sorry you were too f*****g stupid to see it.” “Is this true?” She looked at me and back to Glenn, then to Shane and Donnie who were shockingly quiet and not looking at her. “You’re best bet would be to get the f**k away from me, Loomis,” I said so everyone could hear, “And you know to keep your mouth shut. It’s only good for one thing anyway.” The hateful glances at her and the sneers, the chide remarks...all of it was started almost immediately. Everyone was following my lead again. “I f*****g hate you,” She said to me. She meant it. I felt it. Before she could walk off, someone shoved her into me and for a moment, I felt calm again—whole, wonderful and wanting to take her into my arms to make love to her—but I pushed her back into the guy who then pushed her to the floor. With all the strength and dignity she could muster, Tori got up and ran off, her tears evident as she tried to hide her face from me and the rest of the world. “Now, that wasn’t so bad, was it?” Glenn patted me on the back, “It’s for the best. I stopped you from losing your mind over that chick. She’ll be fine. School’s almost over and she’ll be long gone.” Tori I should have known. I never, ever should have trusted him. I should have done the hits and then left—never to fall for my bully. How stupid could I be? We'd been intimate every which way possible--and it was more like we were a couple than anything, but nothing was deemed official. I should have seen it coming should have kept my guard up. The rest of the day was incredibly disturbing. The treatment I’d received before becoming involved with Tommy came back full-fold. I was pushed into lockers, thrown into the spraying showers in gym and then my food was chucked to the floor in the cafeteria. Tommy watched that and he didn’t do a damn thing. I made my way to the library and all I wanted to do was go home. I decided it would be better for me if I did. I made up some excuse about having a headache and the nurse relayed a message to my teacher. Walking out to my car, I didn’t look up because I could already see them staring at me. Tommy and his crew were taking a quick smoke break before last period. “Oh look! It’s the trash rat! Going home to Daddy?” Someone yelled after me. I swallowed hard and choked back the tears, but I couldn’t help it. I looked up and saw Tommy watching me and, for a moment, I thought I saw a tinge of remorse, but he couldn’t have been capable of it. He was evil. “Look at her run home to Daddy. Wahh-Wahhh!” Someone else mocked my tears. I sped out of the lot and headed home. I couldn’t believe this was my reality again.
