SHADOWSOFLOYALTY

Oscar backed up and increased the speed of his wheelchair, crushing the i***t he had started beating up. The four men that had been sent to intimidate the doctor were kneeling down, battered and bleeding, while their spokesman was currently on the floor, an aftereffect of being driven on by an electronic wheelchair. "You had just one job. What did you do there then?" Francesco, the one that had been in charge of talking, spat out blood and winced,"I swear boss, we tried our best to convince her, but she did not budge." Oscar punched him in the face, eliciting another groan,"That wasn't what I asked, was it? What did you do there? Did you touch what belongs to me? Is that why she refused?" He shook his head desperately, "I swear, boss, that didn't happen. She seemed to be close to her family. She refused after she read the line about leaving her family." "And you couldn't convince her, what is your degree for, then?" He turned to the other four,"And you couldn't intimidate her either, is that it?" Francesco looked up,"You told us not to scare her." Oscar punched him again,"Are you trying to teach me? You were given a job, and you couldn't carry it out, and now you're trying to teach me?" He punched him again for good measure,"Do you want me to kill you?" He shook his head desperately,"I'm sorry, Boss. I misspoke." Oscar faced him fully." That's the problem, isn't it? What's to say you didn't misspeak to her and that's why she didn't comply with my wishes." "Oscar". Oscar turned at the voice, annoyed; that was Chad. Oscar sighed and turned towards him. He would have killed the bastard long ago if not for his father. "What do you want? Want to join me?" Chad smirked,"Let them go. I'll bring her myself." "And how will you achieve that, you moron? Or should I slice a line in your throat before you try to think about it?" "Let him go. I'll bring her to you. It will be your birthday present." "No, thanks. And leave, you're beginning to annoy me, and you know how I deal with people that annoy me, right?" Chad rolled his eyes, "Renzo is calling you. I knew your stupid plan wasn't going to work, and he has already given me permission to bring her myself." "Raking in the favors, are we? You think doing this would make you heir to him? We already destroyed your family, what are you still doing lurking around. Want me to finish the job myself?" Chad laughed,"Curious about why I'm still around? It's a secret, dear cousin." Oscar turned murdering eyes towards him,"I swear I will kill you myself. The moment I become boss, I will get rid of you." He laughed, “Don't worry, dear cousin, I will make it painless for you. Or will I?" Chad smirked,"You think it's that easy, right? I will kill you before you kill me, I can assure you of that, and mark my words, I will make your death painful. You will cry for your mother before I finally grant you relief." They both stayed there glaring at each other with murder in their eyes before Oscar wheeled off. He knew that no matter how much he wanted to, he couldn't kill him. His father had threatened to put him down like a rabid dog if he ever attempted it. Chad set the finger Oscar had broken and set to release the men Oscar had tied down. He had promised Renzo he was going to bring the doctor to him, but he had no idea how to do that. Oscar had been correct, he was trying to win favors from Renzo since he didn't trust him yet. He had not given him any reason to, but getting the doctor was going to take him off of Renzo's hate list. He needed to be off his hate list so he could start planning his revenge on him. After all, revenge was best served hot, and he was going to do the same thing Renzo had done to his father. He had won his trust, and when their father had got old, he had killed his brother who rightfully was meant to assume the position, all because of greed. He was his father's son, and he wasn't going to let his death be in vain. Even if he died trying, he was going to get revenge against Renzo and Oscar. ********************* Camila checked her purse for her pocket knife and pepper spray as she walked out of the hospital. She knew she was possibly being dramatic about it, but it had felt like there was someone watching her. With the new development of living in fear, it was probably her regret talking, she was beginning to regret her decision of refusing the offer. She could have asked for more details about the family instead of stubbornly refusing to think about it. She entered her car and shuddered. She couldn’t pinpoint it, but it felt like someone had been in her car. She slowly pulled out her torchlight and checked the back seat, but there was no sign of the car being infiltrated. She opened her door and checked the trunk and met everything the same way she had met it. She shook her head, she was probably being paranoid because of how stressed she had been. She shifted the car into gear and pulled out of the hospital, beginning the short drive home and thinking about her plans for the next day. It happened very rarely because the hospital was always short-staffed, but she was off the next day. She smiled, thinking of the rest she was going to finally catch up on and spending time with her family when her phone rang. She saw her mother's name flashing on the screen. Camila's heart raced as she answered - calls from home usually meant trouble. As she picked it, her foot pressed harder on the accelerator, the car surging forward towards home.
