Before Luke had been discharged from Myerson and come to live with them, Evan’s returning home at midday to see the lovely Loretta would get him not only a sandwich but very probably a nooner. But not today. He found her in the kitchen of the Redwine house, which was now theirs, making enough sandwiches for either a small army or a very long bridge game.
