Perhaps Stuart Shackleton’s most satisfying achievement after his acquittal was the return of his cherished boat, the yacht Namouna. As far as he knew, it was still the largest private motor yacht on Truman Lake. After the showdown with Dmitri Churpov, who had commandeered it during his attempted k********g of Melissa Benton, the Feds had impounded it as evidence. If Evan’s brilliant deception of Churpov hadn’t worked, there almost certainly would have been a shoot-out between the mobster’s bodyguards and the SWAT team, and the Namouna would today be a pile of bullet-shredded rubble at the bottom of the lake. After the Feds were done with it, Shackleton had intended to pledge it toward his bail, but even his high-powered legal team could not convince the judge that he wasn’t a flight risk.
