Angry Selena [2]

"What happened ?"

An angry voice rang out inside a rock shelter.

Selena glared at Aita and her uncle.

She heard a piercing sound from the outside and a powerful shockwave shook even their shelter.

It was easy for her to guess what happened and who were the culprits as something similar happened several times in two days.

But nothing that powerful happened until today.

Finally, a few minutes later, her uncle came back with a deep wound on his shoulder, while Aita, as always, had his whole body covered in blood.

There was even a bonus, as this time both his arms were broken!

"Isn't that obvious ? We fought like always."

Aita answered, irritated by her obvious question.

"Yeah and as always you lost!"

A vein popped out of Aita's forehead.

"Sigh…don't start you two."

Zack said as he felt a sense of déjà-vu at each of their quarrels for two days.

"Tsk!"

Clicking her tongue, she handed two vials to Zack and Aita.

Their injuries healed in a few seconds.

"I'm hungry."

Aita said in a tired tone.

Selena glared at him and nudged him to enter.

Aita nodded and bypassed her.

"Hm?"

Suddenly, Selena noticed that several strands of Aita's hair were golden, which contrasted with his black hair.

Curiously, she plucked out a strand.

"What are you doing…?"

Aita asked with a frown.

Of course, Aita didn't feel any pain but she still plucked out his hair out of nowhere.

"..."

Selena stared at Aita.

His eyes were black but a tinge of dark green was slightly present. It was the same for his black hair.

Though only a few strands of his black hair were golden, the fact that golden was in opposition to black made them more noticeable.

"He-"

"Why are you changing ?"

"What…?"

Aita was confused by her question.

"Why, when you use your unique attribute, your hair and eyes change ?"

"..."

Truthfully, even he didn't know.

No, he had an idea, though it was just a supposition.

For Aita, it had to do something with the assimilation of Soren's Avatar.

He felt that during the assimilation phase, his emotions and body were in disarray, thus his sudden change, be it in appearance or personality.

There was also the fact that his unique attribute was Soren's ability.

"Don't know."

Lying with a straight face, he walked off.

"..."

Crash!

A crystal spike jutted out of the ground and embedded deeply in the rocky wall.

"Liar!"

Selena shouted but Aita ignored her.

He just wanted to eat right now.

"Calm down, Luna, you know how he is."

Zack patted his niece's head gently.

"I know…"

Selena said with a tired sigh.

"Uncle, when will we reach Lunarstella's border ?"

"Two days at most, don't worry."

"We will surely get attacked in those two days, right ?"

"T-That's…"

Zack didn't know what to say.

It had been more than two days since the ambush and until today the days passed peacefully.

Too peacefully, indeed.

Zack reached only one conclusion at that and it seemed his nièce also reached the same conclusion.

"Yes Luna. They will surely be prepared to kill all of us."

Zack said the truth as she needed to be prepared mentally.

"I knew it…"

Selena bit her lips with a nervous expression.

"It will be alright, Luna. We have a powerful ally now."

Zack said, glancing behind them.

Narvi was glaring at Aita, who was eating peacefully.

Selena smiled a little seeing Narvi act like that.

Although she found Aita rude, shameless, ungrateful, annoying and plenty of other things, she had to admit that he was reliable as an ally.

Because of his nonsense about Valhalla that she still didn't understand, she was sure that Aita wouldn't betray them.

"Is that why uncle is training him ?"

Selena quickly connected the points.

"As expected of you."

Zack smiled as Luna understood.

He wasn't fighting with Aita for fun obviously, he just wanted to raise their chances of survival when the time came.

"In Lunarstella they would all be in heaven to be trained by uncle, but he didn't care at all!"

Selena complained with a pout.

"Ahahah!"

Zack laughed heartily but a hidden gloom was on his expression.

'He will be my last student, huh…'

Two hours later, they all went to sleep except Aita as he was on night guard for a few hours until Zack's turn came after.

Hearing footsteps, Aita turned around.

"Where are you going ?"

He asked, staring at Selena.

Selena flinched but replied calmly.

"I will get some fresh air."

Saying that, she left the shelter.

But soon she turned around and glared at Aita.

"Why are you following me ?"

"I'm hired as a guard so I have to keep you safe, otherwise I will not get my money."

'It would have been better without the last part !'

Selena complained inwardly.

Though he was just honest, it was polite not to tell the real reason.

"I'm strong, so I can go alone."

"No, you could be surrounded."

Aita insisted with a frown.

It wasn't like he liked that either, but the old man would kill him if something happened to his niece.

More importantly, he will not get his money, clothes and VIP house.

Meanwhile, Selena wanted to smash Aita's head.

If she insisted on being alone, it was obviously for private matters!

But Aita was totally clueless about that.

"I need to be alone."

"No, I will come with you. If you insist again, you will get your fresh air tied up near me."

Aita snapped and said in an angry tone.

"Y-You!"

Selena was red from anger and shame from his strange wording.

"I need to do ladies things, i***t!"

Finally, she also snapped and shouted.

"...?"

Aita's brain short-circuited as her words.

But slowly he understood what she meant and his face got a little red from embarrassment.

Selena was shocked to see an embarrassed Aita.

Which was normal as Soren's personality gave a shameless impression, but Aita and Orion weren't that knowledgeable about girls, thus the embarrassed reaction.

'Wh-What is this lo-look…?'

Looking at Aita's troubled face, Selena felt strange.

'He can be surprisingly cut- No!'

Shaking her head vehemently, she gave a last glare at Aita before leaving.
