Against The Assassins

Booom!

A loud explosion rang out as Aita's sword and a masked man's dagger collided.

Aita slid back several meters behind.

The six other men jumped on Aita in an attempt to kill him directly but…

Swish!

"Selenite Wall!

Selena swung her spear downward and a beautiful wall made of transparent crystals emerged from the ground between Aita and them.

The men tried to destroy the wall, but before that Zack moved.

With a swift movement, he pierced the crystal's wall.

"Gravity Claws!"

Booom!

The claws ripped apart the wall and several crystal spikes of the destroyed wall flew at high speed toward the surprised men.

Three men quickly came forward.

If it was just Selena, one person would have been enough, but there was a real threat from Zack's attack.

Crackle_!

Flames were released from their bodies.

The three flames merged together to form a fire wall.

The spikes of crystals were burned to ashes immediately and the gravity push behind lost power.

Swoooosh!

A hot gust of wind spread in the surrounding area as both attacks collided and cancelled each other.

"Water cannon!"

"Blade of wind!"

"Earth needles!"

As soon as the attack was countered, three other men launched their spells from behind where Narvi was without defense.

Or at least they thought that.

"What?!"

One of the men let out as he saw a figure a few meters high in the sky.

It was Aita with a smile on his face.

Putting both hands before him, the dark green wind swirled fiercely.

The nearby trees shook from the force of the wind.

Then, with a low voice, he muttered.

"Njord wind, Blast Of Blades."

Booooom!

Dark green blades of a longer and larger size swirled violently like a windmill and blocked their attacks.

Thud!

Aita, who attacked, landed softly on the ground and kept channeling his mana.

He was alone against three after all.

There were five large wind blades swirling fast before him like shields.

"This brat…"

One of the men let out, stunned.

'He has a unique attribute and on wind on top of that'

Wind's unique attribute had never been seen on their continent after all.

Moreover, he was shocked that Aita blocked their three attacks.

The wind attribute assassin shouted angrily.

A powerful gust of wind pushed Aita back little by little.

His two mates followed him with their own attacks.

Two of the green blades broke from the impact.

Aita clicked his tongue, seeing that only three of his shields remained.

Glancing behind him, he opened his eyes wide.

Zack and Selena were also in difficulty.

"Narvi!"

Selena's worried voice echoed as she saw three assassins attacking her brother from behind.

She turned around and immediately tried to help him but…

"Luna!"

Zack's voice rang out from behind and at the same time she was pushed aside.

Falling on the ground, she glanced at her uncle.

"U-Uncle ?"

Zack had a deep cut on his waist.

"Luna, don't worry about Narvi. Aita is with him."

Selena turned around and saw Aita in the sky blocking their attacks.

She sighed in relief seeing that, but guilt crept into her.

She bit her lips, because of her, Zack was injured now.

"We have no time for that, Luna."

Zack said as he looked before him.

Four masked men and the leader of them behind them.

"Yes."

Selena nodded and stood up with her spear.

"You found quite the help, Lord Commander of Lunarstella."

The leader said, astonished by Aita's power.

"A wind's unique attribute, huh…"

He added as he narrowed his eyes behind his mask.

Swooosh!

"!"

The leader flinched as he saw Zack's spear flying toward him at tremendous speed.

"Wall!"

A gigantic earth wall appeared before him and his mates but…

Smash!

"f**k! Stop that spear ! Idiots!"

The leader shouted to his frozen mates.

""""Y-yes!""""

Earth and fire merged together to form a shield.

Booooom!

A shockwave rippled as the spear and the elemental wall collided.

Swoosh!

Before the black spear fell on the ground, it returned to the hand of Zack.

"Who sent you ?"

Zack asked, seeing the men coming out of the dust and smoke.

They barely blocked the attack at the time.

"Do you think I will answer ? You will die here with your nephew and niece."

He said, glancing at Selena.

"Though the princess could entertain us before dying. Ahahaha!"

He laughed wickedly and his mates followed.

"Yeah! It will be our first princess!"

"Damn! Now that I look closely, she is really incredibly gorgeous!"

"As expected of an Imperial princess!"

"We will have a good night!"

Selena was disgusted.

Zack narrowed his eyes on them.

"You are underestimating us."

An enormous pressure fell on them as he said these words.

But the leader smiled confidently.

He looked at his mates and nodded.

Whooosh!

One of the men appeared before Selena and the other four, including the leader, surrounded Zack from all sides.

"Do you really think we came without a plan against the Lord Commander of an Empire ?"

The leader smiled and took out a small sphere from his space ring.

The sphere was glowing in brown color.

Zack was surprised as he knew what it was.

"Mana Amplifier"

"What?!"

Selena was shocked to hear her uncle.

The mana amplifier was an extremely rare and expensive object, enabling someone to strengthen his mana output, thus power.

Only high ranking nobles or royalty could have such items…

"Could it be your employer…"

"You are late, Lord Commander!"

Smash!

The leader crushed the sphere in his palm and a tremendous amount of mana flowed out.

"Ahahaha! Amazing!"

Dense mana covered his entire body and his strength raised at great speed.

Zack's complexion turned grim seeing this.

"Uncle…"

Selena was worried about her uncle.

As a royal she knew how strong the mana amplifier was.

"Don't look away beauty!"

The man in front of Selena said as he swung his blazing sword.

"Selenite pillar!"

Selena swung her spear upward and several crystal pillars appeared from the ground.

Smash!

The pillars were destroyed one by one but Selena wasn't going to wait idly.

"You will regret making an enemy out of the Lunarstella Empire."
