the party

I stepped inside of Mason’s red SUV as we both drove off to Emma and Ava’s party. They had been organizing it since they had their sweet 16th and throughout the years, it became one of the go-to events of the year in our pack. Emma and Ava couldn’t help themselves in their defense. Their parents, uncle Sam and Aunt Jennie were both party animals. It was in their blood really. Mason flicked his hand and took his hands off the wheel as he grinned at me, letting the car drive on his own. “Show off!” I grinned back as I slapped him on his shoulder. “Don’t tell my mom or she’ll kill me.” He said as his eyes were big, looking out the window. Probably thinking about all the trouble his magic had already got him into. His parents were very strict about the no-magic rule. Nobody in the community even knew about Mason having powers, only our little circle of friends and family did. Aunt Emily did not want people to know, afraid someone would come and take Mason from her. She had no idea. Anyone who would even try wouldn't stand a chance against Mason, His skills were amazing! “Agreed, same mom drama here, so we’re good.” We both giggled as the car drove us to our destination. After ten minutes, Emma and Ava’s house popped into view. A big modern house, almost a dark grey square block, planted in the ground, with massive windows. As “country” as my parents' taste was, these guys were into everything state of the art and modern. I looked up as I saw party lights shining through the windows and I could feel the pounding of the bass, as the music was blasting throughout the entire house. Mason parked his SUV and the both of us got out, walking inside the house as I opened my jeans jacket and took it off. “Wow Sienna.” Mason whistled at me. “Your dad let you out looking like this?” I grinned as I shrugged. “My dad doesn’t need to know everything.” The house was already packed as we entered, pushing our way through the sea of teenagers who were shouting, dancing, or in some cases licking each others faces off. I raised my eyebrows as I made my way to the kitchen. “Hey!” I shouted as I found Ava, sipping on a glass, while she had her eye on Frederick, one of the hunks inside the pack. Unlike me, waiting for my mate, Ava lived a wild life and claimed she wanted to be ‘experienced’ once she would find her mate. If that is what you want to call it? “Hiiii” She sang as she gave me a hug. “ OK, killer outfit Sienna, seriously!” She said as she raised her hand and turned me around. “ OK, let’s drink!” She spoke as she reached for a cup for me and Mason. “Babe!” I heard someone yell at me, as two hands formed around my waist, smelling beer the next second. “Seriously Alex?” I yelled at him, as I leaned away from him. I hate the smell of beer! Ava took my cup and filled it with wine as she gave it back to me. “Seriously, why aren’t we mates?” Alex asked me, his lips close to my ear. Ok, he’s so drunk! “Because obviously, the moon Goddess had other plans or wasn’t feeling it at that moment? I don’t know?” I yelled back as I took a big sip of my wine. Alex held his arms around me, as I was feeling the glares of other she wolves coming my way. Christ, Here we go again! I raised my eyebrows at one of them as I tilted my head. “Want to watch a show?” making the she wolf's cheeks turn into a dark pink, as she looked away as quickly as she could. “Dumbass.” I sighed as I took another sip. “Ok! You, me, dancefloor!” Ava yelled as she took my hand, pulling me away from Alex as he finally let me loose, seeing him pouting his lips at me, while I stepped away from him, getting one of my big grins in return. “Thank you!” I yelled at Ava, who laughed out loud. “It’s your own fault Sienna, that dress is too cute, It will get you in trouble!” We made it towards the dancefloor and started to dance. I turned around and saw Emma, hanging on the lips of Eric, her mate. Emma was the first one of our group to find her mate. They were inseparable, ever since they had found each other. “So, no fun with Emma tonight?” I asked Ava, who just shrugged at me. “I understand, it’s her mate. It just makes me jealous. I want what she has. I mean, have you ever noticed how Eric looks at her? As if he would choke, once my sister would let him go.” I nodded, knowing the feeling all too well. But I couldn't imagine seeing it all the time, living under the same roof when it was your twin sister. “Oh well, let wine be our mate tonight!” I yelled at Ava as I raised my drink. “Wine mate!” Ava shouted back, drinking her cup empty in one gulp. ------------------------------------- I was helping Ava pick up empty cups and throwing them in the trash. Most people had gone home, only some really drunk ones were still hanging around. I watched Ava, as she held up a big trash bag. She was the replica of her mother when she was our age. Long black hair, big bambi eyes and full lips. This girl was a super model! I felt sorry for her, knowing how hard she wanted to be loved. Since I felt the exact same way. I looked around, seeing her sister Emma and Eric had vanished into thin air. I decided not to talk about it again, as I picked up some extra cups. Mason was doing the same, only his trash bag was floating around the room as he was throwing cups into it. “Mason, make sure no one sees you!” I hissed at him. He looked at me and shrugged. “No one is coming for me, Sienna, besides, if they do, I’ll kill them.” I rolled my eyes at his tough talk, knowing he was everything but. Mason had one of the kindest souls inside this pack, he just got bored sometimes, using his magic would entertain him then. Alex came walking in with some other boys, laughing hard as he looked around. “Oh s**t, the party’s over?” I looked around and then back at him. “What do you think, Einstein?” The other boys laughed at Alex, as he raised his eyebrows at me. He turned around, saying something to the other boys as they turned and left, while Alex came towards Ava and me. “Need any help ladies?” Ava nodded as she pointed at the kitchen. “Cups in bags, bags outside. I’ll clean in the morning. My parents aren’t coming back until noon.” Alex nodded as he started cleaning in the kitchen. Finding another bottle of beer on his way, drinking it empty and dumping it in his trash bag. I looked at Ava with big eyes as she sighed. “Men…” We had already started cleaning up at 4 in the morning. I was outside in the back yard, fishing up the last cups as I felt two arms wrapping around me again. For f***s sake, really? I sighed as I looked behind me, seeing Alex grin at me. I stood up and turned around, his arms still around me. “Alex, you are drunk. Go home.” I said clearly and slowly, so he would be able to hear every word. He just tilted his head. “Do you know how beautiful you are?” He said as he looked me in the eye. “Oh no, drunk boy, we are not playing that game!” I said as I pushed him away, but he made it hard on me. Those arms had some serious muscles in them. “Sienna, I want you!” He whined at me. He whined at me? Seriously!? What adult man whines? “Alex, come on, what are we? Ten? Go home, get some sleep, you’ll probably won’t even remember in the morning anyway.” His hand cupped my chin and held me still. There was no way I was able to move from him now. He held me so hard it even hurt a little. “Sienna, I want you.” He spoke again, determination in his eyes as he leaned in and his lips touched mine.
