Morning
She held her children closer to her just like she had for the past three years. The children she saw as her kids were the people who kept her sane for the past three years. The kids were no longer kids as they looked like they were little goblins if any human saw them now. Her oldest was now twenty while her youngest was Nine. She looked at her kids as she held them and smiled as she looked at the door knowing that they are just outside. If you had told her the day she wanted to end it that she would have missed the lives of people she didn’t know she needed but here she was holding on to her kids as she started to wake them up. They still have the same habit that they had since day one and that is sleeping with each other. The same old habit that caused many troubles.
Her oldest looked at her as she told her as she was holding them as she saw that she had to look up to her. Even though she was the oldest doesn’t mean that she is the tallest. Ever since they found out how to make stuff they hadn’t left you alone have they. She told her teasing as passed by her as she whacked her head as she laughed as they looked at the youngest who had the same sickness he had since the world went to s**t as they looked at each other they knew that this base will be the best for the youngest so that he can get the help that he needs even if that means that they have to leave him there and leave.
She sighed as she saw the youngest as she held his hand as the second oldest looked at him as she kneeled and kissed his forehead as she told him. We are doing this for you Nelson. She got up and went back to eating her food. She grabbed the youngest in her arms as her oldest stopped eating and grabbed her stuff as she looked at her as she said. Are you ready? She asked as she looked at her and nodded as they opened the door and went outside.
Afternoon
Running to the door and knocking on it. Looking down they saw that there were two women and a bundle of something that what seemed to be the oldest had in her hands. Let us in! Please we have a child! Putting the child that she had in her hands and put him down in an old car. As she looked through the window as she smiled at the kid.
I see your face every now and then.
Alex? She heard her friend say with a slight panic in her voice. When she turned was what she heard. Nelson. Looking behind them and seeing Nelson with a red dot pointing to his chest. As he looked at them with fear in his eyes.
How I wish that I can hold you again.
We put our hands up and slowly started to back up. Names!? Now! They shouted at the oldest looked for their IDs that are in her bags. Please my name is Alexandra Torres, and my father is Rodrigo Torres. My brother and cousin are there. She looked down at them and back at the soldiers. I gave them my tickets and I was out here for over three years.
Please say I’m Just saying s**t. As I wish to hold you again.
They match the description that they have all over this place. I do not think that they are soldiers. The second oldest told the oldest in their language. Looking at the patrol car that was outside and saw the number five. What number for patrol are you, soldiers? Seven, why? He is not a soldier. The oldest told second. How do you know? He asked me from behind me. He did not say, Ma’am.
So you can see the love that I hold for you as I see you everywhere with my eyes.
Pushing the kids behind her and into the patrol car and punching it alive so that we can get out of here and I felt the muzzle of a gun on my head. Oh s**t. Vicky whispered. What? Looking at the back of the car and seeing one of the dead. And seeing the sun going down. Get out and go to the other car. And rub the Alcohol on you and Nelson.
Rubbing myself with alcohol and going outside and seeing that they want to be soldiers not hiding. I can tell that they are from far up north probably Washington, those f***s were more protected due to it always being dark (their dead likes to hunt during the day and sleep during the night. Which means that they do not know about other states dead.).
And they had the warning sooner rather than later than like us. Dumping Alcohol on them and shoving them in a car and closing it just on time. Cover your head and do not talk. Looking out of the window and seeing Nelson and Vicky are okay and looking down at my watch and seeing that it is Six.
(Our dead do not come out during the day and come out and what the kids like to call hunt during the night.). I saw Vicky doing the same and getting Nelson and putting the blood cover blanket over themselves to tell I could not see them and just the blanket. Doing the same with myself since I was on top of the back seat.
On nights like these, I cannot sleep just remembering Day one. Another day without sleep. How do you know this stuff? They asked me when we got out of the car. And the kids did the same. Like we said last night we have been here for almost three years.
I and Vicky just looked at each other and saw each other as she nodded at me as I did the same to her and spoke. We also had some helping hands. I said smiling at the kids. And the kids smiling back at me. Getting a bug-out bag and throwing them the bug-out bag and telling them that it should last them two months at least.
Nelson is Nine now and he is getting tired very easily nowadays. So, I carried him to go back home when we heard a shot, and I felt a pain on my side, and I saw Vicky go down and I felt Nelson go stiff. Putting Nelson down and about to fight and then feeling another shot then everything doing black. Hurry up and get the stuff so we can leave. Dude you just caused us a Ticket to get inside.
Night
They were killed on the spot by another set of survivors. When they got down, they saw that all three of those that had been shot had despaired. They looked at each other as the youngest of their group was the last to come down from the roof. As he asked them if it was her. They looked back at him and said. We don’t know. One of them gets down and sees a journal and a set of keys for a house.
They tried every house that was there and it was almost nightfall when they found the house. They went inside the house and saw more journals and decided to read the journals. The six of them grabbed a journal as each journal has a month and a year of how many people they have stayed in this hell hole. They looked at each other as They saw the numbers and the way it was written making them question how long they have been in here and who took their body.
Alright, each one of you should start reading. When they tried to read it as they looked at each other and then they looked at each other as they saw children writing. It is impossible to read. One of them said as the other said. Then translate it. As they sit down and look at each other as they look at each other then at the youngest of the group as he was reading them he then looked at the writing as he looks up and starts to write on paper that he has.
They look at him as he looks at the writing and they didn’t question him since it’s been a while that they have seen him like this. He looked calm and fine and how he usually was which was anxious and upset as he looked at the paper as he saw a drawing at his cousin would do whenever she was bored. Call him anything you want but he knows his cousin and this is the thing that she draws the most when she is bored even when she isn’t bored she draws this. He knows her habits and she knows his. He knew that it was his cousin and he wanted to know if she was alive so that he can have some peace of mind knowing that she is alive. Or at least one of them is alive in this hell hole as he started to write with all he got. As he hoped that this person was her. Not knowing that the thing he has in his arms was being looked for by the very things that they want to avoid. Unknown to him they will be coming soon.
