CHAPTER 10 ‘How are you today, Reuben?’ ‘Fine, thanks.’ Lucy gave him a quick glance as she fired up the computer. ‘You look tired. Are things okay with you?’ He couldn’t argue with her first comment. Thinking about his appointment today and what he was going to say had kept him awake – that and Carlene’s snoring, which according to her, was a figment of his overactive imagination.
