[KHOEZNIE POV] --- CONDO When I got to the door of the condo, I noticed it was slightly open. I immediately prepared the hidden knife in my bag and carefully walked inside. “Apologies, dear. I couldn’t wait for you any longer,” said an old man sitting on my couch, surrounded by his heavily built men. “Who are you?” I asked as he stood up. “I’m the caretaker of Master Shrewdly. Diego Alcantara.” I straightened up after his introduction and discreetly hid the knife back in my bag. “Two billion. Take it and Leave Master,” he said seriously. I laughed. “Even if that were 50 billion or half of your company’s wealth, I wouldn’t accept it.” “Liar! Do you think you can fool us the way you fooled Master? don't play any tricks. miss,” he glared at me sharply. “I'm not a beggar, Mr. Diego,” I replied, stepping closer. “You look like someone with a lot of health issues at your age. Why not use that 2 billion for your medication instead, hmm?” I raised a brow, watching the anger rise on his face. “Leave now before I report you for trespassing,” I added coldly. “Think about it. I can still increase the amount,” he insisted. “Oh really? How about this. what if I asked for your life instead of money in exchange for leaving your master?” I said with a smirk. He fell silent, but I could see him trembling in rage. “Let’s go!” was all he said to his men before storming out of the condo. Unbelievable. Tyler’s rich, so I should expect obstacles trying to break us apart. But 2 billion? That was such an insult to me. --- As soon as those pests left, I immediately grabbed my first aid kit to treat the wounds I got earlier. After that, I took a shower and rested. . . . . . . . . Another day to continue my life. When I woke up, my phone rang, it was a call from an unknown number. I answered right away. “Hello, who is this?” A cold voice replied, “My men are outside the building. Pack your things and move into my house.” I quickly peeked out the window and saw two black cars parked below and several men in black waiting for me outside. “I-I’m sorry, Mr. Shrewdly. Living with you wasn't part of our contract,” I said shyly. “You made a promise, didn’t you? Follow my rules,” was all he said before hanging up. Sigh. I took a deep breath and looked around. “Well, this is a good opportunity to make our act more believable,” I told myself to stay calm. I quickly packed, bringing two suitcases of my belongings, and went with Tyler’s men. While we were heading to Tyler’s house, several notifications popped up on my phone. When I checked, I was shocked to see that Tyler Clyde Shrewdly had made our marriage public. Even I was caught off guard. A flood of comments from the public both negative and positive appeared. I immediately turned off my phone. “This is wild. It’s like I just signed a contract with a celebrity.”
