Gildor Lupin, leader of the elves had been gone for four days. The conclave had commanded his attendance and had also demanded the presence of the Oracle, an instruction which the elves had never been too keen to heed. Ever since the first Oracle had come to be possessed by the power to speak for the old gods, none of the elves had questioned the sacred nature of it's task. It had been their most sacred focus in a time during which nothing was valued as much as it used to.
