There was always a better way to do things.
That was what I used to think until I became a councilor for Alpha leaders and most times we were forced to be very pragmatic about situations because urgency was a toughie. If someone had told me that thinking would change me within the first month of the time I worked as a councilor, I would not have believed. I would have told that person there was so much space and time to think. It was just like chess, you got all the time you wanted to analyze your move before making it.
But the truth was always hidden and it was always bitter when it was finally out of the boiling cauldron. There was never a time it wasn't.
