I sipped my mint tea as I watched Sam get out of his car at exactly 11:58 at the restaurant Tessa marked down in her planner. I raised my eyebrow as I picked up my phone and called him. I watched him fill the meter with coins and he stopped as he pulled out his phone. I watched from a cafe across the street as he bit his lip and hesitantly answered the call. This was his chance to set everything straight and I hoped he would because this was making me a paranoid mess. "Hey Baby Girl," He said with a slight uneasy tone and I took another sip of my tea as I watched him hold the phone between his ear and his shoulder as he continued feeding the meter.
