After convincing everyone that the book isn't as important as Kyzen state, Elleryn urged the rest of her family and the Crown Prince except her mother to get out of the room. She can let out a breath of relief and begin to relax now.
"Tired?" Avra asked, squeezing her hand, her daughter only nods and smiles at her.
"What exactly happened mother?" Elleryn decides to ask after a while. It seems like Rydan is a little hesitant in telling her the entire truth, while the rest of her family looks more worried instead of willing to tell her.
So the only one she can ask is her mother, who seems eager to tell her something.
"Fabin told me everything, you rush out to the forest right after Ezana passes out. You summon for Vierna and Qries right away, then tell them that you regret not able to save Genieve. Qeera takes control of your mind and that leads to your eyes and hair color changing to Qeera eyes and skin color," Avra stated, while Elleryn listened intently.
"You rush out to the castle, standing in the middle of the ceremony hall, stating that the King is wrong and the rest will pay," Avra said, examining her daughter’s expression who seems calmer than expected.
"Ladon tries to stop you, but you didn't waver, until..." Avra turns her gaze towards Elleryn, observing the deep pool of blue whose now staring straight at her wanting the entire truth.
Ready for the truth.
"Rydan passes through your barrier and holds you, afterwards you pass out,” Avra finished.
Elleryn's expression morphed into pure shock, her mother's words sounded impossible, she tried to decipher it over and over again but disbelief still painted her entire face. Her words sounded like a dream instead of reality.
Pass through her barrier? The Crown Prince? But how?
Avra’s eyes sparkling with something Elleryn couldn't put together, an amused smile now begins to spread on her lips as her eyes crinkled with certainty.
"I think it's possible after all," she said, this time eyes sparkling with the hope that Elleryn never seen before.
Hope for her happiness.
For her well being inside Suttern.

There's one particular story that passes down each generation to generations of fairies, the story of pair blood. The one story that is now considered a myth, never before seen witness to that event.
Unlike the werewolves, who have its true mate the time they turn twenty-three years old. Fairies have one story of pair blood that is long forgotten but still remembered from time to time.
This happens when one fairy finds another creature, their strength and weakness are paired together without them knowing, thus pair blood. Common fairy only has one ability when born, and they can marry any other fairy they take interest in, but for a fairy that has paired their blood with another creature, it means they are destined to live together.
To marry one another. To love, without any condition whatsoever. To cherish, for all their life.
They say fairy's abilities don't work on their pair blood spouse and the other way around. Some say their existence is able to calm the other and that no one will be able to break a paired blood connection.
It's simply impossible. Just like Mate that is hard to reject.
Pair Blood is difficult to break.
But there have never been such cases like this since a thousand years ago, long before the deal was made between Suttern and Qye. All the more reason to believe that pair blood doesn't exist, to easily consider it as mere rumor or myth.
But Avra wants to believe otherwise, there's proof that is happening right before her eyes, the proof of her first daughter is paired blood with the Crown Prince of Suttern. There's a possibility the Suttern will refuse to believe this rare event, Suttern would likely believe Qye trying to instigate a war against them, rather than putting a faith into this ridiculous myth.
But Avra wants Elleryn happiness above all, she wants her to be happy.
Even inside hell itself.
Elleryn lowered her head before she looked up at her mother's eyes with sorrow glinting the deep orbs within, feeling helpless she tightly clenched her fingers around her mother’s hand, feeling its warm, "you can't expect me to believe those, not now, he will meet his mate within three months," she said, feeling choked up, the words hurting herself more than she expected.
"What else can explain the bizarre things that happen while Qeera takes control of you," Avra said, urging her to believe even a faint trace of possibilities of the unexpected. Elleryn's eyes quickly find her mother’s, she suddenly remembers what she truly wants to ask from her.
"He pushes through your barrier, stopping you from getting to the King and he stays with you throughout the night, by your side while you heal," Avra said, each statement carried power through her lips, trying to convince her daughter once again.
How?
Is it true?
But
What about his mate?
Her eyes unknowingly glance down on her left hand, where the Crown Prince holds her just a moment ago. She turns away, deciding to brush those little memories, memories that she shouldn't keep.
Can I stay by your side?
His words come suddenly on her mind, making her heart beat erratically. She bit her lip before she closed her eyes and tried to calm her heart. Minutes later, she opens her eyes only to find Rydan standing behind her mother.
Looking concerned and a little upset.
"Are you okay?" he said eyes narrow down on her.
Her mother smiles warmly at her, squeezing her hand before she turns around and leaves the two alone.
Rydan takes a seat at the chair where Avra just seated, he looks at Elleryn's eyes intently. Expecting something to appear out of the blue, so he can point it out and tell her that something did happen to her while he was gone, but instead her cheek turns red and he smirks at that.
"I'm okay, shouldn't you knock first before coming inside?" Elleryn tried to sound cold, but his smile was too radiant for her, she ended up cracking a little smile.
"My heart feels tight all of a sudden, and I thought I need to be by your side immediately", he explained. Elleryn looks down, not believing her ear.
Is it possible?
A werewolf and a fairy?
To paired blood?
Elleryn looks up to find Rydan smiling at her, eyes wide with gleaming happiness she never saw before.
Happiness that she shouldn't feel
Happiness that will end within three months.
When he finds his mate.
When he discards her and runs towards the right one.
Elleryn smiles back at him, caressing his hand that rests with ease beside her right hand.
Perhaps, I can be happy for a while.
Even with someone, I wasn't supposed to.
Just for a while.
