Chapter 19 - Madison’s Confession

1136 Words
I avoided everyone at school for the next week. I wouldn’t even reply to Madison’s texts. The dreams of the baby persisted and it made me worried it was some kind of omen because James and I hadn’t used protection. I was getting ready to leave class when Declan approached me. I tried to ignore him at first but he was too giant to ignore. “May I help you?” I looked up at his scowl. “Explain yourself NOW.” His anger made me angry. “I don’t have to explain SH*T to you!” I threw my book bag over my shoulder and he ripped it off and threw it across the room. Who ever else was left in the class room ran out. “You need to explain to me why you won’t return Madison’s messages or calls!” This was about his girlfriend? The door flew open and Madison jumped on his back. “Stop stop! Hannah has her reasons I’m sure!” Madison was pleading with him. “I f*cked them both is that what you want to hear!? I love them both and I f*cked everything up! You want to hear that don’t you!? You want details too you a**hole!!” Both of their faces turn to shock, their mouth dropped open. I walked over and grabbed my bag and threw it over my shoulder again. “So I don’t owe you sh*t Declan. I would appreciate it if you let me figure this out on my own!” I started to walk to the door. “Hannah I’m sorry.” Declan was remorseful. This was more information then he wanted to hear. “Yeah sure.” I said coldly and then stopped at the door. “Please, just keep it between us.” I walked out and headed home. This day was over for me. My phone blew up with messages from Madison pleading me to talk to her. I walked into the door to my house. I walked up to my mother and hugged her, I just started to cry. “What’s wrong Hannah?” Her motherly voice was calming my heart. “Mom I feel so messed up.” I sobbed into her shoulder. She rubbed my back. “Tell me everything.” She looked at me and brushed the hair out of my face. I nodded to her and we went to the living room. I spent the day talking with my mom who listen to every word and gave me a lot of amazing advice. She encouraged me to message Madison back. Told me I needed to straighten everything out with both my guys. I needed to buckle down and figure out exactly what I wanted. The thing was I didn’t know. The best part was talking to her about birth control and encouraging me to go to the doctor. I agreed if things were continuing this way, I would have to. She comforted me by telling me she would come with me. I went up stairs and changed into some shorts and a baggy tshirt. I pulled out my phone and messaged Madison that I was ok and if she wanted to come over she could. I didn’t hear anything back and I felt rightfully so with the way I ignored her. I laid down and closed my eyes. I just felt so down and hurting. I had never felt depressed before and I couldn’t help but wonder why I feeling like this. I heard the door open and I looked up, Madison walked and laid down next to me. She was looking at my ceiling. “Hannah I have to tell you something.” I turned and look at her. She looked as guilty as I was last week. “Before I found my one true mate, me and James had a intimate relationship.” I just looked at her, I had already assumed as much. “We were so certain we were made for each other.” Her eyes teared up. “I’m so happy now and it makes me sad to see James hurt. That’s why I pushed you so hard to make him happy.” She started to sob. “It’s ok Madison. It’s not your fault.” My heart hurt to listen and my jealousy grew. “Thank you Hannah. I felt like things would improve once you came into the picture, it just feels like James looks at me with wanting eyes sometimes. I’m so happy with Declan and he’s such a gentle lover.” Suddenly the words floated into my head, James telling me he was told he was too rough. Him telling me that he didn’t want anyone to see us. “Actually this was very helpful. Thank you.” I sat up and grabbed my phone and started to message. “I’m glad I can… help?” Madison wasn’t sure what I was doing. “I’m messaging a apology to Declan for my outburst. Don’t worry.” I felt the words come out of my mouth coldly. “I was hoping we could pick out some graduation ceremony stuff tomorrow. The big day is at the end of the week!” Madison was trying her best to put on a cheery voice. I put down my phone. “I would absolutely love that.” I smiled at her and she hugged me tight. “I feel like this has brought us closer together!” Madison didn’t feel my anger in any way. “I’m staying the night!” Madison exclaimed and I laughed and shrugged. “Okay you can stay the night but if any boys climb through the window, I don’t control them.” I said and we giggled. There was no doubt in my mind that neither alpha twin was going to be coming through my window tonight. “I’m going to mass text that we are having a sleep over and do not disturb.” Madison typed so fast on her phone. I started to think about how I shouldn’t be mad at her. It was before the mate bond. Madison was a shewolf that had already been mated and bonded. A lot of times she wore off the shoulder shirts just to show off she had been marked. A lot of shewolves envied her for her beautiful blond hair and perfectly slim body. She hopped up and dug through my drawers until she found suitable pajamas. We stayed up most the night bonding over things we shared in common and talked about college. I told her I wasn’t sure if the training college was for me. She encouraged me to find what I wanted. She knew it wasn’t that simple for me anymore. I was lucky to have her friendship.
