Lee’s perspective -
I burst into the pack house.
“HANNAH HANNAH!” I burst into her room and it was empty. I ran to the front door where I ran into Madison, Declan, and my mother.
“Where is she!?” I said frantically.
“I’m sorry son, but you are too late. They’re out there now finding the perfect place to mark.” Mother smirked and walked away.
“It’s always been about him to you! His happiness!” I yelled at her. I was so angry.
“You’re such a ungrateful child. Let your brother have one thing! One thing you don’t have to mess up with your jealousy!” She turned and walk away. Madison and Declan stood there in silence. I turned to Madison.
“Where is she?” Madison shook her head. “What aren’t you telling me.” Madison looked at Declan and then looked at me. “Madison you owe me this!” She covered her eyes.
“She’s been yearning for you since you left! She’s being forced into accepting the mark and next luna position. Which ever one of you marks her first, becomes her mate.” My eyes grew and I started to run down the steps.
“Thank you Madison!” I took off into the forest transforming instantly. I ran and ran, picking up Hannah’s scent. I heard a howl and headed into that direction. I followed it until I got to the river. I heard screams of pain and transformed back. I walked over and saw James on top of Hannah, his teeth out as she struggled to get away. I pushed him and he rolled off of her. She scooted back, terror in her eyes. She looked at me and jumped into my arms.
“Are you ok?” I asked her as she clung to me.
“What are you doing here!?” James said riddled with anger.
“What the hell are YOU doing is what needs to be asked!” I said to him.
“She belongs to me Lee, you have no right to take her. She’s agreed to be marked by me and be our Luna.” James stood there, more serious then I had ever seen him.
“I don’t care what she agreed too, that’s before I was here.” I said back to him. James growled loud.
“Do NOT make me fight you.” James claws grew.
“You’re going to fight me for a woman who is so terrified of you, she’s clung to me since I got here?” I scoffed starting to grow disgusted of him. He was going to force a mark on her.
“I’ll do what ever it takes for Greymoon pack. I may have said the wrong name to you earlier Hannah, but I’ve apologized. You told me a moment ago that you loved me. You told me last week you wanted this. I’m willing to carry forward knowing you gave EVERYTHING to him first!” I slowly let Hannah go and she looked at him.
“I want to stay with Lee tonight. You’ve lied to me this entire courtship.” James broke down into tears and fell to the ground. He clenched his chest. I finally felt bad that he was so broken. What Madison had done to him and now he was losing Hannah as well. We stood up and I took Hannah’s hand. We walked a few steps when she collapsed grasping her chest. I picked her up and carried her away listening to her silent sobs. My heart ached for her.
