Seeking The Past

Chapter 37 - A visit from the Goddess.

I took a step forward and the being took my hand.

“Hannah. I am the Moon Goddess. Before your eighteenth birthday and your marking, you weren’t strong enough to see my form and I could only appear as a faded light.”

“Is this about my dreams?” I asked her. She smiled at me.

“The visions you see while you sleep are memories of your mother, Julia Langoria.” The Goddess held her smile.

“That’s impossible, Julia lived so long ago.” I let go of the Goddess’s hand.

“My child, nothing is impossible.” She raised her hand and a image of a wedding appeared. I could see Julia walking down the aisle and Alpha Charles standing at the other end beaming. “Your mother and father Charles Langoria were the product of a arranged marriage. Charles loved Julia’s power, she was the most powerful werewitch of the pack. Before either was of age, their parents arranged for a marriage between the two.” I stepped forward looking at my mother for the first time. I always seen through her eyes and never seen her face. The Goddess raised her other hand and the arrival of Henry Greyback was there but this vision was like looking from above.

“Julia felt their bond instantly. Even being marked, Her power was too powerful to ignore the true mate pull. Henry felt the bond but he didn’t feel the bond like she did at first. He was bonded to Ashley.” A vision of Henry holding Ashley’s hands appeared. “They were also a arranged marriage. Ashley’s true mate Fredrick had to be preset and watch his mate marry his brother. Fredrick was never the same.” A vision of their marriage while Fredrick watched in pain was suddenly present. I knew that heart ache. “Julia couldn’t get over her bond with Henry. Charles grew more jealous and angry by the passing days. It came to a point where he severed their bond and forced her to leave without you.” A vision of guards throwing Julia out into the rain came up as she screamed for her baby. “When Julia showed up at Greymoon Pack, Fredrick saw her and felt the mate bond instantly. Julia felt their bond as well but could never get over the stronger bond she had with Henry.” A vision of Fredrick covering Julia and bringing her in from the rain came up. “Henry wanted to send Julia back to Redmoon. Fredrick begged him to let her stay and let him marry her. Henry reluctantly agreed. As Julia waited for her severed bond to heal and as it did, the more love she felt for the brothers, especially Henry.” Visions of Julia sneaking peaks at Henry emerged from the darkness. “It came to light not long after that Ashley could not fall pregnant no matter how hard her and Henry tried. When Ashely found out that not only did Julia feel the mate bond toward Henry, but she had already had a pup. She encouraged Henry to try and get her pregnant so they could take the pup and raise it as their heir. The only problem was the more he spent time with Julia, the more their bond grew.” A vision of them both kissing glowed. “Fredrick knew Julia had feelings for Henry but he found out about Ashley’s plan and caught Julia and Henry. He tried to force Julia to leave with him and when she refused he lied and told her Ashley was pregnant. The pain was unbearable.” The vision I had of Julia and the fire erupting around her emerged. “Her emotions and power were too much to control. She set the forest on fire as she walked back to the pack house. Ashley and Henry had fought that night about Julia leaving. Henry wasn’t at the pack house when Julia arrived. Julia’s heart hurt so much, she needed someone to pay.” Ashley cowering in the corner alone emerged and a single tear strum down my face. “Henry came too late. Ashley was gone, Julia threw Henry from the top of the pack house when he rushed her for killing his wife. When Julia got back out side and calmed down she walked and saw what she had done. She was over come with guilt.” My first vision, my nightmares for years showed up. Julia looking at the burning pack, finding Henry. “Fredrick came too after being knocked out by her rush of power. When he got back and saw Henry with Julia. Nothing else mattered and he took it upon himself to end Henry. Not thinking your mother would throw herself into the line of fire, killing herself as well.” Fredrick grabbing her lifeless hand and screaming showed and I couldn’t help it, I burst into tears. “Charles got word of the burned down pack, Julia’s rage, and her death. He fought but, reluctantly agreed they had to kill the baby he shared with Julia. To save the pack who panicked over Julia losing control. They worried you would be just as unstable at some point.” Charles crying showed as what could only be described as elder members of the pack comforted him. “I couldn’t let you pay for the sins of your mother, you were only a little pup barely able to sit on your own yet.” I looked to her now. “I took possession of a young maid that had yet to come to power, I took you to the Fairy Goddess that put you into a deep sleep until you were needed for this world. When James and Lee were born, your new mother had prayed to me ever night for a pup of her own. I asked her for her help in raising you, and she did everything I asked for. She knew how special you were the moment she picked you up.” Visions of my new mother popped up holding me and crying happily showed. “Because I brought you back into this world bonds changed and I finally could bring you together with Julia’s true mate. She could finally have her Henry.” I looked to the Goddess.

“Why now? Why bring me back now?” I asked. The Goddess stayed silent. Finally she spoke.

“My child the reason I brought you here was to show you who you are, to fill the answers you seek, and to warn you. This night of your eighteenth birthday is the last night the Fairy Goddess can hold back your true power. She has had trouble the past month suppressing it. You are very powerful and special. Once your power is revealed, Redmoon will seek you. Charles knew I had you put into a deep sleep and that you would awake far into the future. He agreed it was the only way to save you after you were gone.” I shook my head.

“What does this mean?” I asked.

“The elders of Redmoon have been listening and waiting for you to awake. Once they feel your power, they will come. Peacefully or not I can not tell you.”

“To Greymoon?” I asked in a somewhat panicked tone. The Goddess nodded.

“I may appear to you again child, but for now we must part ways.” A glow came around her and the glow was so bright that I could no longer keep my eyes open.

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was back at the hotel.
