I storm out of the cubic shaped room, slamming the door shut behind me.
“I could just leave all this while?” Questioning myself as I regard how easy it was to flee from him... The enemy.
He hadn’t even budged. Just watching me from behind the mask with an expressionless stare.
Was it because of his size and height that he’d been no slower than a slug? That must be it!
He’s as lazy as it comes. An obese man would win a race against him. No wonder he needs a servant.
“Failure to keep him happy results in punishment” his voice resounded. “Why on hell did I recall that?”
More importantly, where am I going to?
I spin my head in confusion. So many turns I had taken and not seen a single soul.
The institution, being as grande as it appeared on the outside, posed a greater threat on the inside.
"Where is the elevator?" I recall taking one as they lead me into this trap... If I could pinpoint it, and just leave this place.
I walk around for an extra 5 minutes, each empty room similar to the other.
“There you are!” I exclaimed once I caught sight of my only escape. Running towards the elevator before pushing the down button without any hesitation.
I stare impatiently at the crevice on the metal. Yelling inwardly for it to spread out, as I grew irritated while diverting my attention to the surrounding behind me.
I look around, taking in all the silence before briefly being cut by a penetrating tone.
“Escape attempt number 1” the voice pointed out menacingly from behind me.
Before I could react, to steer clear of his reach, he’d extended an arm to grab a handful of my hair, pulling me to his stead.
“Let go of my hair” I fought back, twisting and turning but his grip didn’t seem to loosen “LET GO OF IT NOW!”
I had been pulled far enough into the elevator, despite my head being tilted awkwardly, I could see it shut close. Leaving both I, and this beast, in a terribly small, confined space.
I arch my back since all movements were limited to take a glimpse of him. His gaze had equally fallen on mine.
“Please, you’re hurting me” I tried to sound as needy as I could, and look the part too even though I knew I could never work out a messy hair or desperate b***h.
He sighs then looks away. His eyes wore a smug smirk, just as his rosy mouth did once he was done exhaling.
“You sicko” The flare in me ignited upon noting that he smiled “ you enjoy watching me squirm don’t you! You like how I’m helpless and begging for my freedom... Is that it!”
He now pressed a button, completely ignoring every word that came out of my mouth.
“Why don’t you just abuse me!” I blurt out, not pondering carefully that he hadn’t thought of doing that but I’d just given him the idea to.
“I don’t commit adultery” he loosened his grip “But I do abuse” clarifying that he wasn’t going to “ Till we get married, I will abuse you as much as I can.”
At least, not yet.
My heart sunk upon hearing those words. He will abuse me as much as he can when we get married.
So much respect, yet so little at the same time.
Why does he make me feel uneasy. Like my fate has truly, already been decided. Like I have no chance to change his mind. And like I don’t want him to, either.
“Master, please let go of my hair” I tried one last time, mixing politeness with full on obedience.
He immediately lets go of it, taking a step backwards to give me the space, or to look at my exasperated face.
“Was it that hard?” He asked in a self satisfied tone.
“Your d**k isn’t” I run off my mouth after briefly glancing at his lower torso.
He smirks, it was indeed hard and he didn’t bother concealing it from me.
Did he enjoy following me around like a predator with its prey. Was that what turned him on.
“Why make the building so big if it’s empty?” I asked, looking away from the sickening manifestations of his lower body.
“Cause there are rats like you who try to escape and the chase is quite fun”
Apparently, it is what turned him on.
The door dings and I slightly move ahead. I felt disgusted being in his presence, and his intoxicating perfume.
Much more poisonous that carbon monoxide.
I ran for my life, which posed no threat towards me as I wore sneakers. Once the split doors unfolded wide enough for a petite woman like me, I burst out of there.
That way I could create enough distance between him and I when it is wide enough for his huge physique.
I could see the light which passed through the glass doors, I thought with a relieving smile as I run towards it.
The buzzing streets, the passing cars, everything but this dreadful silence.
I claimed the steel rod which had been placed as the door's handles, and pulled with all my might. When that didn’t work, I tried pushing.
I even tried begging the inanimate object after so many tries. Once I realised, the door had been locked.
“Escape attempt number 2” the voice alerted me from my back, again.
Too engulfed in my failure, and embarrassment, I had no courage to face him. Of course, he must have planned everything out. How stupid was I !!
He graciously walked forward, hand rummaging through his dark suit and out with the electronic key card after some seconds.
And unlocks it.
A beeping sound accompanied the swipe of card. I managed to lift my head up to see him push the doors open.
The lively streets which somehow signified freedom despite being tied down to duties and jobs.
There’s still hope, I thought as I looked around. Surely, he must not have thought of what comes after the locked doors.
He stepped out first this time, not even looking back to verify if I followed behind.
“Here’s my chance” I left his side as quietly as I could once my shoes came in contact with the pavement.
However, that chance was short lived after camouflaging into the crowd and reached the other side of the street.
“This way miss Masha” a lean guy in shades said. Gripping me by the arm before I could dart away.
Of course, he thought this one out to. There were probably men on each side of the street and the next block too.
The man dragged me to the black Jeep Wrangler with dark tinted windows on all fours, including the front and back. Opening the right side for me before giving me a little tug forward.
“Escape attempt number 3” his voice resonated once in sight.
The giant had been seated in the backseat as well, on the far left side of the vehicle from where I now sat.
Mask still sheathing his face... The mystery he emitted was relentless, and unnerving.
“How am I supposed to trust you when I haven’t seen your face?” I indirectly request to have him take off his mask as I focused on the engaged child’s lock feature. Swiftly raising it up to disengage it while I’d asked.
“Didn’t say you should” he casually stated. As if it would be a normal thing for any relationship to not be based on trust.
Did he really not care that I trust him if he plans on making me his wife? I notioned, perplexed, as I hopped into the car.
Oh how tempted I was to snatch his mask off just to see his face... Just a few seconds of triumph.
I slowly lift my hand to his face, trying to seem as sly as I could.
“Your hand doesn’t look alright” he pointed out, taking it into his warm palms without warning.
“What, what do you mean! It’s fine!!” You’re gay, I reminded myself as he inched closer to take a closer look.
“I’ll be the judge of that” his brows creased together after a moment of inspection.
“It is alright... Someone recently gripped you tightly" he landed a gentle kiss on my arm before softly putting it on my lap "I’ll take care of it “
His lips were just as soft as it appeared, I gulped, feeling flustered by everything.
“Do- Do you want to choke me in here with your perfume!?” I asked agitatedly. “I need fresh air, not toxic AC. Wind down the windows”
“Escape attempt number 4?” He already knew I was up to something.
“What?” I ask, pretending to be ignorant of why he would say that.
“Are you planning to jump out of the vehicle and injure yourself just to get away from me?”
“No?”
Even, I wasn’t sure what it is I planned.
I hadn’t done well in convincing him to lower the car windows, cause his next move was to face his phone.
“Please master” I tried the approach he loved so much, only to feel engrossed by my tone within the next second.
Fuck this, I thought as I abruptly opened the door. Flying out without a second thought of what might happen to me in the end.
I had no control of my body as I rolled like a sausage from the paved road to the green grass up to a sudden hault.
I groaned in pain as I looked up to the revolving cloudy blue sky, having lost all desires to try and flee.
Rustling leaves followed in succession and a shadow hovered over me.
He sighed, his blur body leaning forwards, blocking out the sky from view, with both hands pocketed in his pants. “Escape attempt number 4 “
“When is our wedding?” I utter in a weak tone, unable to think straight and stop myself from asking idiotic questions.
“Now” he stated before shifting away,
I let out a tear, my entire body crying for painkillers, the urge to vomit was overwhelming... And gosh, did I feel lightheaded.
“Why don’t I close my eyes” I said drowsily “For just a... Li...ttle whil-“ before passing out on the green, comfortable grass.
