“No doubt about that. Why would they suddenly increase security? What exactly are they guarding against?”
“Lady Montclair, perhaps,” Maera answered firmly, looking at Selene. “Has there been any behavioral changes in the highborn ladies?”
“No. I didn’t receive any intel on that, but I will send word.”
“My best guess, Lady Montclair has started displaying strange behaviors and tight security has been formed to prevent information from getting out,” Maera continued. “Information that could tarnish their impeccable image, until they figure out what is wrong with her.”
