20 Luke The water was high and hitting hard against the rocks on the James River below where I sat waiting for Handsy to arrive. It had taken a while, but he’d finally texted me back and said he wanted to meet. It bugged me that he was explicit about not wanting to meet at the coffee shop or at Sneaky’s, but I didn’t care, as long as we were together. Since the river was only a short walk away, I suggested the yellow gazebo in the little park overlooking it. You could see the ancient headstones and monuments of Hollywood Cemetery from where I was sitting, and I thought we could take a walk there.
