“Another?” I nodded and Sneaky filled the shot glass. Percolate had been dead most of the afternoon so I closed up early and decided to get my drink on. The mild hangover I’d had earlier was gone, soon to be replaced by a harsher version the next morning, but I didn’t care. After I closed the coffee shop, my first impulse had been to hide upstairs in my apartment, but my friend Josh had texted me to meet him and Serge next door.
