Chapter-2:Thomas and Philip meet the queen

On the sunday morning , Thomas and Philip just had their breakfast and started getting ready to go to the royal palace of Leipzig and meet the queen

Thomas says to Philip to dress up the best today and to be ready an hour before so they can reach the palace on time. Since they both were from the lower middle class they did not have something really classy or elegant to wear.Thomas brings a tiny briefcase with him which consisted all the important things he carried to investigate . They leave for the royal palace in their car.

They reach to the palace five minutes before 2pm , they are welcomed by the royal household servants and they are just amazed by looking at the size of the palace.Then they wait with the other detectives.

Thomas whispers to Philips "Do you still think I have a chance ? One of the biggest detectives Mr Sherlock Monk is alsovhere." Philips nods his head in a yes.

After waiting for around fifteen minutes, the queen finally comes.The queen says "I am sorry for making you all wait and thank you for coming here.As you all are here let us start the selection . As you all know only five out of all of you will get selected . We will call you all according to the number given to you and you will be given a random mystery case and you all can ask the question to suspects showcased by our servants and on basis of some points you will get selected or not . You all must have gotten a number and you need to come according to the number.

Joshua and Philip got the last number 13 . When their chance came they went inside a room the queen was sitting with a paper in her hand and told them to sit,after they sat the soldier depicted them their mystery it was :

A perfect murder

There was a young man who was poor and single but had a rich aunt.He also had an elder brother who was also poor and had a family of four to feed . So accordingly the aunt should have given money to the elder brother but she kept giving it to the younger brother.She also took the younger brother in our home and he got a personal cook also who cooked mouth watering food .But,the younger one was greedy.So,he called his brother to a bar where they used to go earlier.He made him recall an incident when it was evening and they were drinking and talking about perfect murder.The younger one had an idea to depose his aunt who had a proper schedule for breakfast she kept repeating pancakes and scrambled eggs

alternatively.So he had planned that he will get broken pieces of glass and mix it in the eggs omlette which the cook prepares before leaving for a 10 min break . The elder one thought how evil his brother is but he will also recieve the money . His brother told him to not call him for a couple of days .He did as he said but after a few days he started getting worried about what happened, Was he caught? it kept disturbing the elder one so to give himself some relief he went to the bar where they planned it , he took the newspaper and opened the murder section and the news making the headline shocked him.It was about his brother death.

They asked some questions and also told their theory on who was the murderer.

After some discussionwith the chief , they declared the results

The selected one were:9,6,12,13,10

Sherlock Monk was no 6

Thomas was shocked by knowing he is gonna work with the greatest detective Sherlock Monk
