Jenna's POV:
It's the fourth week of counseling.
I've been practically skipping down the prison's hall by now, knowing exactly where I have to go and how to get there.
Bearman, the rough looking guard, still accompanies me just in case I get lost in here. That wouldn't be good...
As I stand in front of Alonzo's cell door, I wait for the door to open, but as it never happened, I turned to the guard with a confused expression, wondering what he'd want.
As I look at him square in the face, I see a very unsettling glint in his eyes before a smirk appeared on his face.
He slowly took steps near me and started closing up the space between us.
A rush of fear cursed its way through my back and thoughts of Roger wouldn't stop their devilish taunting.
He leaned enough for us to be almost eye to eye, stayed still for a while never erasing his smirk, and ended up reaching his hand out for the doorknob to open the cell.
As soon as I got the chance, I ran in there and sat on the chair immobile, not even registering if Alonzo was there or not.
WHAT THE FROG JUST HAPPENED?!?
Do not think of Roger, do NOT think of Roger...
Great, now I'm thinking of Roger.

Alonzo's POV:
Something happened, that's obvious enough by the way she's behaving right know.
She doesn't even seem to have noticed I'm here at all.
Analyzing her gaze, I realize she has the same expression she had after I had asked her what those bruises were about.
If I want to get to the bottom of this, I better be sensitive about it.
As I was about to ask her in a subtle way, she beat me to it and spoke up.
"Why did you say '36' yesterday after what that- that baboon said when he saw us?", she asked in a hurry, giving me the impression that she knew I would ask her about her behavior and wanted to speak before me so that she could change the subject.
"I don't want to tell you", I simply answered, now gaining her full attention.
"Umm, why not...?", Jenna asked confused and a little offended.
Sighing dramatically loud, I said: "Let's make a deal. I'll tell you about my little secret list, and you have to answer a question of mine".
I guess she was too curious to fully understand what she was agreeing to, because she accepted without a second thought.
"After everything that happened with the Santi duo, I promised I'd make them pay for their betrayal.
Mafia world isn't like the normal one, farfalla.
Going behind your own people's back is unacceptable.
I'm responsible for my father's soul redemption".
She seemed more confused than ever, and a little pout started to form on her lips for the lack of understanding.
"Alright, I get that", she started. "But what does that have to do with numbers and prison guards?"
"They led me to create a personal hit list, farfalla.
Anyone that would disrespect me would be put in that list and see to the consequences of their actions later on.
That guard and a couple of others really crossed the line, so I added them to my list".
"So..., that means when you get out you'll, what? Kill them all?" She asked.
"Depends on how much they offended me. The Santi aren't JUST gonna die, that would be far too boring and merciful. The guards and the rest of the thirty one people on my list... well, it'll depend on what mood I am the day we meet again", I answered truthfully.
"Oh...", I heard her mumbling, and only then did I realize who I'm talking to.
What the hell is wrong with me?
Do you want to scare her for life Alonzo? Keep it up and you'll make it champ.

Jenna's POV:
Well that revelation was subtle... NOT.
But for some reason though, it did not affect me on the least.
I look up only to see him baring a face full of regret.
I was about to ask him what was wrong, when he said: "God Jenna, I'm so sorry, I'm so insensitive I shouldn't be speaking so freely about matters like this. Please forgive me".
His plea made my heart ache, as if he'd be scared to upset me.
Chuckling lightly, I grab his hand and squeeze it in reassurance, tracing random patterns on the back of his hand.
"Alonzo, as weird as this may sound, I don't think of you as a bad person for the way you think.
If you ask me, all I see is a guy trying to bring justice to his father's murder.
There was a reasonable method of justice a long time ago, you know? It was called 'The Talion Law'.
An eye for an eye right?
You didn't start the fight, they did. You simply want to finish it by simply making them pay for their sins".
While inhaling so that I could continue my explanation, I look up at him and see a look of pure pride and wonder in his eyes, as if I had just said everything he's always wanted to hear.
"And as for the other targets on your list... truthfully?, people are stupid, they are.
I understand you if you become fed up with some of them and their disrespect towards you.
Trust me, if I had the ovaries and the strength, I'd probably take care of some f****d up people as well".
Suddenly, the image of Roger and the guard came to my mind and I didn't realize what escaped my lips next.
"And I certainly wouldn't blame you if you'd take care of that bear-baboon like guard you called 36"
I hadn't even realized I had said that out loud until I felt a quite painful grip on my hand.
I raised my head only to find Alonzo inches away from me, noses almost touching from the proximity.
"Farfalla, I'll ask this once, only once.
What. Did. He. Do. To. You?"
His breath fanned my skin and his deathly deep and threatening voice shouldn't have turned me on as much as it did... but as I've said before, I am secretive, and I have my kinks...
And he just so happens to check all the right boxes.
