It's evening time and graduation ceremonies just ended. Even though we just graduated, I'm going to propose to Melanie tonight. She doesn't know it yet, but I've decided not to go to LSU. I took a scholarship with USC instead, so now I will be only six hours away from her, instead of across the country. I never changed it with the principal for my graduation announcement, because I wanted it to be a surprise. I have already asked her mom's permission to marry Melanie, and although she was hesitant at first since we're so young, she decided Melanie is smart enough to make her own decisions. Once she approved of me proposing to her daughter, we started planning this party together. The party is a BBQ at Melanie's house in her backyard with all of our closest friends
