Miranda After Leaving Hussein’s Villa
Miranda left Hussein’s villa after it had fallen under a suffocating silence — a silence she could no longer bear after her master’s disappearance into a strange path from which there was no return. She carried her small bag, inside it the scent of that old place, clinging to her clothes like a painful memory.
Later, she worked as a maid in another house — one owned by a wealthy man on the outskirts of the city. The house wasn’t as large as Hussein’s villa, but it was clean and cold, much like its owner’s heart. Miranda performed her duties in complete silence, speaking very little, spending her evenings gazing long from the window, as if waiting for something she could not name.
