Scene 1 – The Prophecy of Shams al-Duhur
In a palace drowned in darkness, slender candles dangled from the ceiling, their flames swaying to the rhythm of the whispering wind. Upon a colossal stone throne sat Shams al-Duhur, as if he were a fragment of time itself. His aged face was etched with lines that resembled ancient maps, and his eyes glowed like embers beneath calm ashes. The vast chamber echoed with murmurs of the past, faint voices chanting like the hymns of lost souls still suspended between life and death.
Before him, through the mist rising from burning censers, appeared a vision — a living mirror of vapor. Within it, Shams al-Duhur saw the full scene unfolding inside the Minister’s villa:
