Breaking Me

Chapter 4- Willow POV

                     I few years had passed since the last move and we were all grateful for it, Jeremys idea of using my new ability to hide in plain sight had worked so far, the person after me has never even met me so I believed and my parents keep a low profile so I can have a semi-normal life, we were all in our second year of university, and we kept ourselves to ourselves but they knew we have powers as we didn’t hide them. Plain sight and all. It kept a lot of the normal classmates away from us, but I didn’t mind that so much.

                    Jess had started seeing a boy called Marco, he was well built, looked like he hit the gym a lot with brown hair and handsome features. He was sweet and treated her well, Jeremy and I had grown quite fond of him, he too had a secret, of all things he was a freaking werewolf, and lived within a large pack on the edge of town, they moved here a few years ago after their pack had be attacked. He told us there are many creatures, but most are not as open as us, especially out to the rest of the world, but we have the criminal’s with powers to blame for that. Witches, vampires, Werewolf's and demons all live in this world, undetected it really opened my eyes.

                   He taught us how to see them when they were disguised, not that I couldn’t defend myself, but Marco doesn’t want us to offend any of them, all of them being deadly in their own way. Jeremy on the other hand had been through most of the girls in our year and then some, I wish he would see me that way, well not some easy tramp like them but someone he could be with and have a future together, I think he sees me as a little sister now that we have lived together for last few years.

                    I sigh “what’s up Will, you’ve been daydreaming since you sat down with us” Jess prodding me away from my dream of the day I met Jeremy “yeah sorry, Jess what was you saying?” coming back to reality, I see Marco had joined us, he’s so protective of Jess and I loved that but it’s very intense, he says that’s how they are, they love unconditionally, its lovely but they are together 24/7, I mean dude take a break, I can care for her too “girls night remember” Jess said smiling, yes I forgot, I need this night away from boys just us girls “yes I remember, so food, drink and dancing, with no boys” I say smiling at Marco.

                      “Well about that Will” she replies sheepishly “really, you two can’t be apart for more than five minutes can you”  I said a little hurt, she can’t go one night, seriously “I promise you it’s worth it, we will still go for food, girls only but well tell her Marco” she says nudging him “well my alpha is opening a new night club in town, you know for us sort of folk and we have been invited as VIPS” Marco said with a glint of hope in his eyes “I said I wouldn’t go without you Will, so will you come please” Jess said with hope in her eyes too “fine I will come” I sighed sarcastically with a smile on my face “you know his alpha is single” she winks at me “I will come but I’m not dating an alpha you guys are too intense for me, no offence Marco.”

                     “None taken, but he’s a nice guy” he winks at me, Jess nudges him to stop, I spot Jeremy coming over with his new fling Malissa, she’s nice but he will be done in a month, getting bored and moving on to the next. Maybe I should find a nice guy, he will never see me the way I want him to, so I may as well move on too. “Jeremy over here!” I shout waving over to him, he grabs Malissa by the hand and brings her over, she looks terrified but if your dating a guy with powers then you can’t be too frightened, maybe it’s me she afraid of. 

                      "Hey guys, you remember Malissa right” Jeremy comes and sits next to me, dragging her behind him “hey” we all say in unison “what you guys on about” Jeremy asked, but before I could answer “we were trying to set her up on a date at Marco's new club, VIP baby” Jess says giggling “and I kindly refused, so are you coming with us tonight?” I remind Jess “wait I thought you said no boys” Marco chimes in “have you seen him, he’s no boy” Jess and I laugh hard at my statement “thanks” Jeremy says while punching me, “ouch” so I shock him back “hey” he jolts, so he flings my lunch “dude I was eating that!” I said, “guys stop acting like an old married couple” Jess says, I look back at him and laugh “any way its mine and Malissa one month anniversary so I’m taking her out for food, but we could meet you at the club after, is that alright Malissa?” we all look towards her direction waiting for her answer “as long as it’s just us at dinner, then yes” she says, god we wouldn’t want to intrude, I thought to myself sarcastically. 

                      “Awesome, I will tell Alex how many are coming, and we will meet you there at ten, okay?” Marco said getting his phone out to text his alpha, apparently, he is his Beta and they are best buddies, so he gets all the perks. “You sure you don’t want his number” he says smiling at me, I flash my electricity on my hand at him, like small lightning bolts dancing across my palm, “alright alright, I get the picture” Marco smiles heeding my warning, though I have a feeling that they are not going to listen to it.
