WHILE AT WILLIAM'S RESIDENCESTELLA'S POV

1008 Words
No sooner had William eaten than he picked up a glass of wine from the table and walked over to me. Having had a sip, he put down the glass and sat facing me. "They kidnapped me. They broke into our house yesterday," I explained, tears streaming down my cheeks. "They killed my father and took his body away and they tried to kill me too." William's expression eased as he went to take a tissue and gently wiped the tears away from my face. All he said was "I should pack my things before I know we are attacked." William listened closely, creasing his brow with worry. “ I don't think so I don't know any friends with him" I whispered. William asked, concern etched on his face. He never really discussed our family, we leave alone" I said, my voice laced with sadness. But in the meantime, try to sleep," he murmured. I also nodded in agreement, taking solace in William's presence. While he left with a band of men, I simply couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope amidst all that was transpiring. With William there, I knew I wouldn't be forced to bear this tragedy alone. The daily activities of the day felt like a whole new world for me. Nobody in the household had time except training, while I was no more than a guest. I couldn't help but notice that nobody ventured beyond the gates of the enormous mansion nor came in apart from William and his friends who left early morning the house had complete guard. I opened it to see that it was William. "Good morning," he said. "Morning, sir," I replied respectfully. "May I come in?" William requested, seeking permission to enter my room. After sitting down and entering, William began to speak. "I tried doing some research yesterday when I learned that it was the Raju and Luci packs that ambushed your family." "Raju and Luci?" I repeated, furrowing my brow in confusion. "Yes, but I have not yet learned all about them. These are bad packs, and I will try to find out more," William explained earnestly and continued. "Did you ever catch your dad chatting with a werewolf or he chatted about his pack with you" He spoke "Werewolf? Pack? No he did not" I spoke with concern. "Ok don't worry if there is anything I will inform you" William spoke "Thanks. I'll get them back for what they've done to me, no matter what the cost." "Alright, no problem. I have to go," William said, standing up from the chair. "Thanks," I said, seeing him go off with a feeling of resolve within me. ************ With the passage of time, seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hour's hours turned into days, days turned into weeks, I had found shelter in William's house. They gave her everything I wanted, considering me a princess on William's orders. I could eat anything and have anything, but I couldn't go outside for my protection. I frequently questioned how the Raju pack had invaded my family's home, yet I am yet to find out the reason for it. William did his best, constantly reporting back to me any news that he had learned regarding the remaining two men responsible for murdering my father. They were all that I knew--the leaders of the opposing pack Raju and Luci--who were renowned for their iniquities. William treated me like his friend and daughter, especially since he was unable to get in touch with any of my relatives. He treated me like a princess. He was with me most of the time and I was happy and did not feel the effect of his father's demise but Williams did not allow me to train like all the people in the villa. Rather, he employed a private tutor to teach me at the villa. However, I did not prefer this, since I wished to be a warrior like William so that I could get revenge for my father. I constantly secretly go to the combat room to see them but I must never get caught by William. At one point, during the daily exercise, William requested I stay in my room. However, when he caught me watching the training secretly via the door, he became enraged. "Stella, what do you think you're doing?" he ordered. "I told you to retire to your room and study your books." "I am sorry But William, I don't wish to. I wish to be a warrior. I wish to practice fighting so that I may avenge my father," I pleaded. "No, you can't. You're not prepared," William denied. "I am! I am prepared," I refused to budge. After a second's consideration, William capitulated. "Alright, come along." He took me to the combat room where new recruits had been training for weeks. "If you can defeat any of these men, I'll let you attempt to become a warrior," William vowed. Similarly, after surveying around, I pointed towards one of the recruits I didn't know was one of the strongest, and without delay everyone in the room mocked me, destined to beat my challenge. As they engaged in combat, I started behind, unable to keep pace with the opponent's abilities. But having observed for some time, I altered my motion to imitate him. Charlie, William's second-in-command, who wasn't in the room with William, was amazed. "She's fighting him back using his own skill! How did she do that? She learns fast," he told William. Watching me develop in silence, William saw me through to the end. At last, after several minutes of intense combat, I had defeated my opponent. I was smiling victorious but it faded quickly. As a surprise to everyone, William ordered everyone back and pulled out a genuine firearm. I continued wondering what was going on but before I realized it, William had fired the firearm at me four times. I was dazed and collapsed on the ground, leaving everybody in the room surprised by William's sudden action.
