CHAPTER 1; Winter

“GABRIELLA” Megan, Lily and Lyra run towards my locker as I close it "Hey guys” I smile turning to face them fully “Oh my gosh, how was it?” They were referring to the blood test I took yesterday at the hospital cause they knew I hated the sight of blood  and the fact I didn't faint was a new achievement for me 

“I hated it obviously” I physically shudder thinking about the blood being drawn up the line “Plus my arm still hurts” I frown and Lily quickly takes my books from me and Megan grabs my bag off my shoulder "Guys" I chuckle as they carry out their actions “Consider us your personal slaves for the rest of today” My smile grows wider shaking my head at their unbelievable behaviour 

I knew I the best friends in the world the moment we met. Megan being the oldest one out of all of us, she had beautiful strawberry blonde hair (even though we call her ginger) and gorgeous hazel eyes, I was surprised boys didn't line up to date her. Lyra a beautiful muslim woman, she was luckily born into a wealthy family yet the fact she decided to hang out with us, 'the quiet girls' even though she was quite the opposite really created a great dynamic in a group and lastly Lily, just like her name she was as beautiful as a flower, so down to earth and will always back you up no matter what but that goes for the all the girls to be honest, I loved them all so much 

“Guys you are the best” I take a sip out my water bottle as we make our way to my next class “We will be the first ones here” They promise me and I smile taking my things from them “See you guys at lunch” I wave them off and they wait for me to go in

Unfortunately, their little promise was short lived as my professor decided to let us go early cause he had somewhere to be. I quickly pack my things and decide to go to the library to finish up with my morning studies “Watch out” I bump into a girl who turns around to purposely to push me onto the floor “Do you not have eyes?” She shouts looking down to me and I wince at my arm, that roughly touches the floor “What did this b***h do to you?” I hear another girl pipe in and I look up at the pests

‘Dang these stupid popular girls’ I look at the 5 girls who stand over me, 3 out of them which I hate the most “You backed up into me” I spit at Bailey whose smile grows then turns her head to most hated number 2, Kaylah “You hear this girl?” Bailey chuckles and kicks my books further down the hall making it fall apart “What the hell?!” I shout in attempts to get up “I hate when little girls try to speak up to us” Jude chuckles to herself then throws her empty bag on chips onto me “Guys” Kyrah look at them with a small frown but Bailey gives her warning look causing her to retract her statement. Bailey bends down to my level pointing her finger near me “Listen little girl yo-“

“What’s going on?” We turn our heads to Wintyr who playfully plays with his basketball, cigarette hanging off his ear and his million dollar smile, ugh  “Dont tell me you guys are bullying again” He pushes past the crowd that had seemed to gather, looking down at me casually then back to them “You guys are acting pathetic” Bailey scoffs crossing her arms over her chest “How would your boyfriend react if he found this out?” His eyes darken now looking at Kyrah who swallows hard “Well Rhett is not going to be happy you’re interrupting us” Wintyr's eyes find Bailey's again "Does it look like I give a flying f**k about Rhett?” He says in a mocking tone then pushes past Bailey knocking her shoulder purposefully or was it an accident....I mean they're all good friends so I can't trust any of their actions at all

"Here" He holds his hand out to help me up but I knew who he was, this was just part of their plan to embarrass me even more

“I’m fine” I push his hand away and help myself up not applying pressure on my sore arm “Oooo” I hear a crowd taunt and I glance as Wintyr nodding his head whilst poking his tongue at the side of his mouth “That's what you get for butting your business into mine" I hear someone say from behind as I limp to pick up my books. I ignore the stares I receive as I make my way to the nurses room to get a plaster for my now b****y knee "Where's the nurse?" I ask myself as I find a plaster looking around the room to just find it empty

I sit down on a chair to balance myself but then jump a little as I hear rapid footsteps nearing me “Omo!!” I hear girls squealing then the door bursts open revealing my friends “We heard what happened Gabby, are you okay?!” Megan says quickly looking at my arm but I look down to my knee “I hurt my knee” Lyra pouts sadly “We should’ve been there” “You guys were in class” I try laugh off “It barely hurts, I just fell” Megan eyes my knees with a sad face “I hate the populars” We all nod in unison “Same” I say thinking back to the interaction 

“They are the enemies, look what they did to her and what was Wintyr doing there?!" I shrug "Him and his childish games” I nod agreeing with Megan “I did good, right?” I smile proudly causing them to smile too “Mhm” They nod quickly and help me up “I'm so happy you rejected him, I hate jocks" Lyra helps me stand up "You put that plaster on pretty well” Lyra says as Megan takes my things and we leave to meet Lily

“You sit here we will get your lunch, Lily will prob be here soon” We find a table in the lunch hall and they put their bags on each chair and head off to the line to buy our food. In that time I use it to look at the populars tables. 

'Gosh they're lucky they are good looking' I sulk watching each one as they interact with each other as if they were kings and queens

There were a few people that we referred to as the 'populars' but let me introduce you to the main bullies. We have the fake blonde Kaylah Melissa but she really suited the role of 'dumb blonde' so I'll give it to her. Followed by their queen bee stuck up Bailey Brown who thinks everyone else was above her just cause her mum is our principle. There were rumours that the populars recycle each other as in sleeping with one another but the only solid couple that known is between Julian Black and Kyrah Williams. 

Kyrah was actually really nice when she wasn’t around them but when she was, it’s not really a girl you’d really want to be with. The only thing that connected all them as friends, is the fact that their families are so wealthy. Bailey's minions should I call them are Jude Just, Emily Summer, Yveln Yen and a couple other girls

Boys wise, they were your average high school boys but just 10x way hotter than you’d expect, like God knows what they feed these kids nowadays but damn, too bad they were all idiots. The main boys I know is Cole Perez, he was one year ahead of us but he's retaking this year so that's how he ended up being with us again. He was my favourite, I wouldn’t count him as a popular since he was genuinely nice. He has Jett black hair that falls onto his face with the perfect middle part dazzling us with his amazing forehead and nicely shapes eyebrows. He has hazel eyes which definitely contrasted with his dark features but it suited him perfectly. 

Next Wintyr Kim, yes the boy who wanted to embarrass me earlier, he was actually a twin believe it or not and they were both so gorgeous definitely got the good looks from his father. Wintyr has curly hair with a fade at the side, a couple slits on his brows and I've heard he's our schools star player in basketball. Followed by his best friend Rhett who was just flat out rude, I've been scared to ever face him seeing how he reacts to other girls but his blonde locks never seem to keep girls away. Roland, a Filipino boy mixed with latino was one boy I never encountered but he was definitely loud and Elias, he's lowkey a nerd but being a popular really got to his head as he always tried to hide the fact he was smart and purposely failed his tests which I didn't get cause he seemed to come 2 in class no matter how much he tried to flunk it.....weird right?

There were a few other boys but they weren't really in my classes so I don't may much attention to them

“We got you a cheese sandwich with apple juice” “Thanks” I take it from Lyra and sit up drawing my attention to them “I hate those girls” I start unwrapping my food “Can you imagine Jude threw her trash on me” I inform them quickly and they gasp stopping what they were doing “b***h” Lily stuffs her face “I know right” Megan shakes her head looking over her shoulder but I tap her hand to look back at me “Let’s not catch their attentions” She nods agreeing with me 

“There are videos circulating, but apparently someone had them all removed” I look at Lily surprised as this school loved gossip “Really who?” Megan asks “Cole” Lyra looks up surprised also and a warm fuzzy feeling comes into my stomach “Apparently though” She kills my mood but it still made me happy “He’s so kind” I glance at him kissing a random girl sat on his lap but it only made me smile wider “I guess he's really really kind” Lily says awkwardly as she removes her eyes from the site but I still continued to stare

“This time we will be here, right here” They promise me again dropping me to my next class and I chuckle “After this, it’s home time” “We can do something since it's the first day after Summer” Lily suggests “Can't I'm busy” Megans shut out quickly “Chill dude” Lyra chuckles “Same, me and Samia have a thing” Lyra informs us and I quickly think of way to get out of it when Lily looks at me “I just wanna sleep, sore arms and a knee” I truthfully say and smile hoping she'd let me off the hook too 

“Whatever you guys never wanna hang with me” Lily crosses her arms over her chest and we chuckle “We hung out all of summer" Megan pinches her cheeks but she moves her body pretending to be sad "Okay maybe this weekend” Megan reassures her as the bell sounds “Okay bye guys” I wave not wanting to part take in conversation anymore and make my way into my class

“Okay that was a jam packed lesson thanks to everyone who participated, after such a long day I’m going to put you guys into pairs and I want a presentations on everything you've learnt by....maybe next week?” We nod as Mr Raj jots down the deadline in his diary and he nods when he finishes up “Okay next week is the deadline, Wednesday we'll put it and the partners are” He picks up the register and I cross my fingers hoping I'd get anyone but a popular “....Tod and Yasmine, Wintyr and Samia, Julia and Rob, yes Robert R please, Francis and John, Rhett and Jada, Robert S and Daisy, Julian and Gabriella M….” I sigh knowing that nothing was ever on my side but I was happy enough that I got Julian cause he's nice and smart anyways so

“....That’s your partners I’m expecting this to be done to your full abilities” He announces and everyone starts to pack their things talking amongst themselves “Julian, we are swapping partners, I’m with Gabriella now” My head snaps back to Wintyr who wakes up from his fake nap, his head still on the desk “Cool” Julian murmurs going to meet Samia but my eyes widen “No we can't swap partners” I say stopping Julian then peep a smiling Wintyr lifting his head “Sir me and Julian swapped partners is that okay? I'm with Gabriella and he's with Samia” “That's fine, as long as the work is done” “Don't worry sir it will be” He askers cheekily standing up proudly “That's fine?!?!” I whisper cry to myself looking down painfully 

‘NOOOOOOOOOOO’

“Well this is going to be an easy A considering the fact you’re doing all the work” A boy says right beside me and I ignore his presence picking up my bag “So good luck with the work” I say getting out my seat angrily and limp to the door slowing me down “What's up with the leg- oh right you fell on it right?” He sarcastically remarks and I stop, glaring up at him “I did fall” I say confirming it to him “No, you got pushed” He tries to correct me but I just roll my eyes 

“So why did you lie to the teachers and told them you fell” He tails after me “Cause I did” “But you didn’t” “Okay stop" I stop in my tacks turning to him "I don’t care yeah, I’ll do the work bye” “I know you are so-“ 

“Stop bothering this woman bro” Summyr, Wintyr’s twin approaches us, skipping to us in her pink attire that she seemed to have dazzle up our school uniform with “I know he’s pretty annoying right? Pretty badass what you did to him he’s just a little kid don't mind him” Summyr elbows me causing Wintyr to scoff clasping his hands together “Whatever, I’m leaving” He turns on his heel then walks the other way “On a scale of 1-10 how annoying do you fine him” She asks me and I think about it whilst watching him go “About a million” I say still focused and she chuckles copying my actions “I know right”
