My shift at the clinic finally wrapped up, and before I could even think about rest, it was time for my part-time school. My first day at the academy. Truth be told, my stomach had been twisting the whole journey there. The thought of walking into a room full of strangers, of being the new girl, of whether I could keep up... it all made me a little nervous.
But when I got to class, the energy wasn't what I feared. Everyone seemed calm, focused, quietly taking notes as the professor spoke at the front. The atmosphere wasn't intimidating at all. Slowly, I let myself relax, sinking into the thought that maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
