I was late. I'd been assisting Dr. Hayes that I'd lost track of time; I hadn't even gotten time to check up on Ethan regarding Damien's interrogation. After telling him about what Elena said about her father, her did his research and we found out everything was linked to one person. Including the fact that her father could be the only person that knows the answer to my question.
I rounded the corner toward the department and stopped cold. Two men in suits stood by the doorway. One of them is the one that always opens the car door for Elena.
My heart kicked. "What are you...." I trailed off, clutching my bag tighter, scanning the empty hall for anyone else.
