Damien The dice rolled across the table with a satisfying clatter before landing on six. I smirked, dragging in a slow breath from the cigar pinched between my fingers. Smoke curled lazily upward as I leaned back in my chair. Across from me, Ethan sat slumped, unconscious, tied to the heavy wooden chair. His head lolled to one side, blood streaking near his temple from the pistol-whip I'd given him earlier. Pathetic. Did he really think he could touch me?
