Aria I trailed behind Mona, carrying the tray she had asked me to hold while she worked on a patient's leg. Her hands moved with practiced ease, winding the bandage snugly. "There we go," she said, offering the man on the cot a reassuring smile. "Keep the leg elevated and make sure you get plenty of rest. Someone will come back to check on you tomorrow." The man murmured his thanks, and Mona set the used gauze back onto the tray. Without another word, she turned and walked out. I followed, balancing the tray: She hadn't really shown any expression today. She was had buried herself with work.
