CHANNING The knock comes again, sharp and impatient, and Mika's gaze moves to the door, then back to me, her expression tense as I sit up slightly. "Are you expecting anyone?" She says no and starts to get up, but I stop her. “It’s alright. I’ll get it.” I grab my boxers, slip them on, and walk to the door. Whoever it is, they’re about to find out they’ve got the worst timing in the world. I yank the door open, and standing there is her ex—the guy whose name I keep forgetting—and his eyes widen as he sees me, half-dressed and clearly not the person he expected to see. He freezes, stammering for a second before finally saying, "Uh, hello. I, uh—" I cross my arms and lean against the doorframe, enjoying things a little too much. “Can I help you?” I ask before he can finish his sentence
