I stand outside Mika's door, stunned, the accusations leveled at Nina rattling through my mind. Disowned? Broke? Using me for money?
But I do not get to respond or tell Mika that all of this can not be true because she slams the door in my face, leaving me standing like an i***t, trying to process what has just happened.
It makes no sense. Nina isn’t broke, and her family never disowned her. If that were true, it would have been widely reported in the tabloids and on social media. Nina's family is well-known, and such scandals do not go unnoticed for families like hers.
