It was morning the next day and after the morning preparation Jane, Mathew and I visited Jane's mom.

Well after the Eighteenth Birthday of a Princess or a prince that is during the night when the whole family are gathered, he or she will be asked to pick a personal servant.
When I was asked to pick mine, I knew I didn't need any personal servant but I had to pick anyways, it's the family ritual.
I picked Mathew, to my mom I picked him to be my servant but the main reason I picked him was so that he can be free to relate with us any time.
He was my friend though he was older than the rest of us with a year which was the more reason I needed him around.
