Episod five:TheDevilDeal

I sat rigid in the back of Dominic sleek black car, my finger curled into tight fists against the cool leather seat. The engagement party had a spectacle, one I had no control over. Now, alone with him, the weight of reality suffocated me. Dominic sat beside me, one hand lazily draped on my knees, his expensive watch glinting under the city lights. “You handled yourself well tonight,” he said smoothly. “Almost convincing.” Celeste’s jaw tightened. “I don't need your approval.” He smirked. “No, but you'll need my cooperation if you want this arrangement to be unbearable.i I looked at him frankly. Arrangement. That's what this was, a contract, a business deal disguised as a marriage to him. A deal that he controlled. I turned my head sharply to face him. “ Let's set one thing straight, Dominic. I may have agreed to marry you, but I'm not your puppet.” His smirk deepened, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement “ aren't you?” My pulse fastened. I refused to let him win, refused to let him see how deeply he had already wrecked her life. She straightened her spine. “I have a condition.” Dominic arched a brow. “Do you now?” “Yes.” I forced my voice to remain steady. “You will not control my life outside of this marriage. I will have my freedom.” His gaze flickered with something unreasonable before he leaned back, tapping his fingers against the armrest. “Freedom?” He mused. “ What an interesting request from someone who just signed their life away.” My nails dug into my palm as my usual habit. “ I will not be at your beck and call . I won't play the submissive wife for you.” I chuckled , low , dark , knowing. “Oh, Celeste.” He leaned in, his breath brushing against her skin. “You say that now.” I swallowed hard, forcing myself not to flinch. His presence was overwhelming, too close , too consuming. But I wouldn't let him see my fear. Not now. Not ever. Instead, I lifted my chin. “I mean it, Dominic.” He stares at me studying me for a moment before tilting his head. “And if I refuse?” I gripped the strap to my bag tightly. “Then I'll make your life just as miserable as you make mine.” For a split second, something flickered in his gaze, curiosity and intrigue filled him. Then he smirked “Interesting ” i tapped his fingers against his thigh. “Very well. I'll give you your freedom with one expectation.” My stomach twisted. “What expectations?” His smirk widened “You are mine, Celeste,” he said softly, but his. Voice carried absolute power. “You will not entertain any other man. You will not betrayal our marriage. And you will never ever run from me.” My breath hitched. Run? Did he already know that I was planning on escape? I forced myself to hold his gaze. “I would rather rot in hell than be yours.” Dominic's expression didn't change, but the atmosphere of our conversation shifted. A charged, dangerous tension wrapped around us. He leaned in, his lips a breath away from mine as he shifted it to my ear. “You already are, Celeste,” he murmured into my ear. “ And hell looks ait like my world.” A shiver ran down my spine. The car rolled to a smooth stop in front of towering penthouse. My new prison. Dominic opened the door and stepped out. He turned, offering me a hand. I ignored it and stepped out on my own. He chuckled. “ Feisty already. I do love a challenge.” I shot him a glare. “Welcome home, Mrs . Vale .” My stomach dropped. Home. No. This was nothing more than a gilded cage. —-- My first night in Dominic world. My heels clicked against the marble floors as I was led through the penthouse. It was stunning. High ceilings, glass walls revealing the glittering skyline, sleek black furniture that screamed wealth and power. But no amount of luxury could hide the fact that this wasn't my home. Dominic walked ahead, exuding authority, his presence filling the space effortlessly. I followed him into an expansive bedroom. “This is your,” he said . I narrowed my eyes, dropping my bag on the wide table next to me. “And where will you be?” He smirked. “In my room. But don't get too comfortable.” A frown tugged at my lips. “ Why?” His smirk widened. “ Because one day, you'll come to me willingly.” I let out a sharp laugh. “Not in this lifetime.” He smiled, walking close to me with a widened face of eerie intentions. My back hit the cold wall as Dominic stalked toward me, his predatory gaze locked onto mine. My heart pounded. Push him, punch him. Do something. But my traitorous body stayed still. He stopped mere inches away, his breath warm against my lips. So close. My eyelids fluttered shut, my body anticipating the inevitable. A kiss. A touch. Anything. Dominic carried me to the bedspot, laying me gently on the bed , his dark eyes and unreadable. I knew I should push him away now. But I still didn't. Not when his finger brushed down my arms. Not when he tilted my chin up , forcing me to meet his gaze. My lips parted as his head dipped lower. I let out a breath. His lips grazed my neck , trailing down , teasing me , just enough to make me press my thigh together. Then, his fingers skimmed up my inner thigh dangerously close , but not quite. My legs parted instinctively, betraying me.. Dominic smirked. His finger stopped. His lip paused. And then just like that, he stepped back. “Not yet ,” he murmured, leaving me breathless, aching and completely at his mercy. His confidence was infuriating. But I refused to let it shake me. I folded my arms, feeling embarrassed and timid Dominic just breaks me again, now. He leaned in softly, his voice dropping into something dangerously soft. “You can fight all you want, Celeste.” His fingers brushed against my chin, s featherlight touch that sent a jolt through my body. “But you belong to me now.” My breath hitched. I hated the way he said it. Hated the way my body reacted. I yanked away from his touch. “I will never be yours.” Dominic simply smiled. “You are already” With that, he turned and walked out, leaving me alone in the suffocating silence. I sank onto the edge of the bed, my mind racing thinking about the scene earlier. I needed a plan. A way out. Because one thing was clear, if I stayed in Dominic Vale’s world too long, I might never escape.
