Out of the fire and into the frying pan

Claira threw her towel at Diego before he could say anything else. Her father was letting Diego stay with them? Not to mention he insinuated he knew something might be going on between them two. She started to bit her thumb nail as she walked past Diego into his new room. She went straight for the closet and opened it, inside there was already a goodie basket of shower items ready to do. Every room had a basket of shower goodies, and when Martha found out someone new was staying with them she would give them cloths she thought might fit them. Martha was the some to go to for everything, she loved house work and decorating.  "What happened the hour I was showering." Panic started to set in for Claira, her breathing was labored as she turned back to Diego practically throwing the basket at him. Diego caught it with out flinching and lifted a hand to her. "Whoa hey calm down, your starting to make me panic." "Then why aren't you panicking?" Claira clutched her forehead as she sat down on his bed. "Look," Diego placed the shower basket on the dressed before walking over to Claira, and knelt in front of her. "He came into my cell, and I think he already knew something was going on between the two of us. We made a deal, I give him information in exchange for a room."  Claira looked up at Diego confused, "That's it?" "Well..." Diego thought about for a second, but Claira saw it. Being so close to each other they didn't need to focus on each other to hear the others thoughts. "He knows?" She jumped up freaking out, as she knocked Diego onto his ass. "Hey, hey." Diego got back on his knees rubbing his ass, he kissed from the sharp pain as he stood us to grab Claira and face him. "He has a pretty good idea, look just calm down it'll be fine I promise. I'm going to keep my end of the bargain." He rubbed her arms to reassure her. They looked at each other, and he smirked at her lifting his hands to cup her face. 'Can I?' His voice was a soft whisper in her head, and with just a nod of her head he bent down and kissed her. This kiss was different then in his cell, it was sweet like before, but it wasn't rushed. He took his time with the kiss, he gently nibbled her lip as she opened her mouth he slipped his tongue in. Diego tasted sweet as their tongues wrestled for dominance but he won. Claira had never been kissed like that before, yes she had partners, but it was more about s*x then anything else for her. Diego pulled away smiling at her while catching his breath. Claira smiled back at him, taking deep breaths to try and slow her racing heart. "So...you should probably shower, and put a shirt on." She whispered, she worried speaking too loud would break the small bubble they had around them. "Do you want to join me?" He smirked down at him. It wasn't till right now she notice he was taller then her, Claira was 5'9 so he must be 5'11 or 6foot. She shook her head at him, she lifted a hand to touch his chest as she gave him a light shove. "I don't think so." Claira stepped away giving them space "I'll wait outside." She turned around and walked out, while Diego just watched her smiling. He looked around himself as she closed the door, the room was bare but he didn't mind it. It was just temporary. Picking up the basket Diego walked into the door were the bathroom was, or at least he assumed because it looked just like Claira's bathroom door. Stripping he turned the water on, he gave himself a quick once over in the mirror. He hadn't seen his reflection in a while, it had been almost a week since he seen himself in the mirror. He turned his face this way and that, checking his neck but there was nothing new. He ran his hand down chest, looking at the new scars he got from Luca's children. There was a new large scar across his chest that went from one side of his peck to across his chest to the other peck. Diego stopped and thought, he had a plan forming in his mind. He focused on himself as he trailed a hand down his chest and abs, down his hips to his c**k. He gave it a few tugs making it come to life, he thought about Claira, then stopped, he chuckled to himself and with the devil in his eyes he sent her the mental video he just took of himself. There was an audible thump outside his room and a groan. He chuckled and got in the shower. Once Diego was done in the shower he walked to the dresser to find cloths. Opening it he found a few pieces of clothing, maybe enough to last him 3 or 4 day max. Lifting a shirt he sniffed it, and scrunched his nose. It smelt musky, almost like it had been in a closet for a few months. He checked the size before putting it on, a large... it would fit him perfect. Diego figured the women who cleaned him up knew his size, she must have gotten him cloths.  He opened the door a few minutes later to find a red faced Claira, banging her head again her door, but when she heard his door open she stopped and turned to him. "Did you have to?" She groaned, but Diego just smiled at her "Just showing you what you missed from not joining me." He chuckled giving her a winning smile. Claira looked Diego over, he was wearing a fitted tight grey shirt, with dark wrangler jeans and black tennies. His hair was a mess like he had ran his fingers through it a few times. "Ready?" "I don't exactly have a choice." Diego noticed she had a sweater on now. It wasn't too late the sun was still up, and it looked just like a little over 4pm. Claira motioned for Diego to follow her as they walked down the hall to the stairs. Even though Luca had said he was welcomed, Diego couldn't help but be on alert. The whole time he was in his room he didn't hear a single nose, he wondered if anyone was even in the house. "Everyone is outside, so we better hurry." Claira confirmed his suspicions. They walked down the stairs and into the dinning room and past the kitchen to the double doors. Claira stopped before she opened them, and looked up at Diego. "Whatever happens, between you and me, or out there tonight. I wont let them hurt you." Diego could tell she was serious. She had a straight face and her voice held no nonsense. Her eyes were fierce and for a second Diego believed her. He just nodded at her, both took a deep breath before opening the door to the back yard. Everyone had been talking and laughing but when Claira opened the double door to outside, everyone stopped. Diego was directly behind her. Claira held her breath but Diego just waited, he waited to see who would make the first move and if he had to he would jump in front of Claira to protect her. Even if she meant what she said, he wouldn't pin her against her own family.  "Ah Daughter!" Lucas voice was loud so everyone could hear him. He was to the back of the yard, almost by the tree line about 50 yards from where Claira stood. "Come, come. Bring Diego with you." Luca motioned to Claira to meet him in the center of everyone.  Claira grabbed Diego's hand with out thinking, she could hear the whispers around her. "What is she doing? Why is she touching that leach? The nerve of her. A vampire in our home, someone kill him." Claira was sure if she could hear the whispers so could Diego. But Diego sqeezed her hand. 'Its fine little wolf, I figured they would be like this.' She looked back at Diego giving him a side glance. Once she reached her father, she stopped in front of him. Luca gave her a warm smile, caressing her cheek like he always did he bent down and kissed her forehead. "Everyone," Luca turned from her and motions his arms for everyone to look at him. He really didn't need to, everyone was already watching them closely. "Diego has agreed to give us information, and in return i want everyone to welcome him into our home. He will be living here for the foreseeable future." There were raised voices all around them, some angry, some confused. Luca raised his hand and everyone got silent. "Listen children, he is a guest in my home." Suddenly his eyes flared, turning a bright gold, but not as bright as Clairas. "If you have a problem you know where the door is, but while he stays here, everyone will obey my rules." there was more force in his words this time. A few people around grumbled before a women stepped forward an hand raised. Ma, Claira watched patiently seeing what Martha would do. Luca nodded his approval to speak. "I just want to say....Foods done." She smiled, and gave a small wave to Diego "Welcome home."  Claira looked up at Diego and squeezed his hand, he looked down at her and gave her a half hearted smile. Home? could He really call this his home? Maybe for as long as he was staying her, and maybe for as long as she was here.  A few people from the pack left not wanting to be around Diego, he was the enemy still. Most pack members wanted to kill him, but because Luca put his foot down no one would go against his orders. Claira sat Diego down next to Luca not sure if she trusted anyone else to sit next to him, maybe Ma, she was the only one so far to welcome him, but even so looks could be deceving. She stopped and looked at Diego a little worried, she opened her moutn to speak but she wasn't sure how exactly to go about asking him this question. "Um...do you...I  mean.." How did she ask if he was hungry, or was it thirst? Diego watched her, frustrated trying to find words to ask what he already knew wanted to know. "I eat food. Normal food like you." 'Though I wouldn't mind a drink if your offering.' Claira was frozen, a blush creeped up her neck to her cheeks from his words. She quickly walked away, leaving Diego by himself with Luca.  Luca chuckled watching the two of them, Diego just cleared his throat feeling anxious. "I told you, I see everything." Diego just looked him over. "What do you want to know Old man?" "Old man." Luca put a hand on his chest as he pretended to be hurt by his words. "I have you know, I'm not that old. but answering you question. Where is my brother?" "I don't know, he normally moves from place to place. Everyday he is somewhere new." Diego looked Luca straight in his eyes. He was telling the truth, if he ever wanted to see his father, his father was the one to contact him not the other way around.  "I figured." Luca rubbed his chin and sighed. "oh well." He handed Diego a cup and smiled. "Drink." Diego looked at the cup, it had a thick brown substance in it. He looked back up at Luca a question on his face. "Boy, if I wanted to kill you I would have done so days ago. ITs blood from a yesterdays kill." No wonder it was brown and think. Diego just pushed the cup away. "Thanks but I'm good, because I'm a born I can eat food." He gave him a half smile. The people around Diego were silent and is comment. He just looked around himself.  Out of the fire and into the frying pan. He thought, he looked past everyone to fine Claira standing in line, waiting for food. Next to her was that boy, Jason and they seem to be arguing about something. Breaking his thoughts Luca cleared his throat. "You know, he has loved her ever since I found him and brought him here." Diego shook his head and looked at Luca. "I'm Sorry?" He tried to play the part of a confused child but it didn't work. Luca laughed, "You know what I'm talking about, your not the only one who loves my daughter." Lucas large hand patted his shoulder.  Diego knew that already, Jason had told him to leave her alone, but he couldn't and neither could she.
