The door opened, Nikolai stood frozen in the doorway for a second her brain refused to process what she was seeing.
Her mother was on her back, legs spread, dark hair spilled across the pillows. Cayden was between her thighs, buried deep inside her, one hand gripping Elena’s hip, the other braced beside her head. Both of them were naked. The room smelled of s*x. The sheets were a mess.
Elena’s head turned toward the door, her eyes went wide “Nikolai?”
Cayden didn’t pull out, he looked over his shoulder, met Nikolai’s stunned gaze, and kept his hips pressed firmly against Elena’s. There was no panic in his expression, only a calm, almost cold stillness.
Nikolai’s mouth opened, but no sound came out at first. Then her face twisted.
“What the f**k…?” she was totally bewildered. Her voice was thin, disbelieving.
She took one step back as if the air in the room had become toxic. Her eyes moved from her mother’s flushed face to Cayden’s bruised one, then down to where their bodies were still joined.
“You?” she whispered, staring at Cayden. “You’re seriously f*****g my mother?”
Elena tried to push at Cayden’s chest “Cayden, please stop ”
But her body betrayed her. Even as guilt and fear flooded her chest, the thick heat of him still inside her made her walls clench. She hated herself for it. She was terrified of the look on her daughter’s face. And still, some shameless part of her only wanted him to keep moving.
Cayden finally spoke, voice low and steady. “You should close the door when you leave.”
Nikolai’s eyes flashed with something between rage and disgust. “You’re a pathetic piece of s**t. I always knew you were trash, but this?” She looked at her mother again, disappointment cutting deeper than anger. “And you… you’re disgusting.”
Elena’s voice cracked. “Nikolai, wait, let me explain”
Nikolai was already backing out of the room. Her face had gone pale. Without another word she turned and ran down the hallway. Her footsteps pounded down the stairs.
A few seconds later the front door slammed hard enough to echo through the entire house.
Silence fell, Elena's hands were still against Cayden’s chest. Her eyes were wet. Her breathing was uneven from the s*x, from the shock, from the guilt that was now screaming inside her.
“She saw us,” she whispered. “Cayden… she saw us.”
Cayden looked down at her. There was no apology in his gaze. He rolled his hips once, slow and deliberate, still buried inside her. Elena’s breath hitched despite everything.
“I know,” he said.
“We have to stop” she said but deep down she hoped he wouldn't as if he knew what was good through her mind, he thrust again, deeper this time. Elena’s back arched against her will. A broken sound left her throat.
“You don’t want me to stop,” he murmured “do you?”
Elena’s eyes squeezed shut. Shame and need warred inside her. She was scared. She was guilty. She had just watched her daughter look at her with pure disappointment and run out of the house. And still her body refused to let him go.
Cayden leaned down, lips brushing her ear as he began to move again deep slow strokes that forced her to feel every inch.
“She treated me like nothing,” he said quietly. “Now she knows how it feels to lose something.”
Elena’s hands trembled against his back. She should have pushed him off. She should have ordered him to leave.
Instead her legs tightened around his waist as he f****d her through the guilt, through the fear, through the knowledge that everything had just broken.
Cayden kept his pace steady, almost ruthless in its control. He watched her face the entire time, the conflict, the pleasure she couldn’t hide, the tears that slipped from the corners of her eyes.
When Elena came it was with a choked, almost unwilling cry, her body clamping down around him even as shame burned through her. Cayden followed a few moments later, burying himself deep and spilling inside her with a low, rough groan.
Elena turned her face away, staring at the open doorway where her daughter had stood. Without saying anything but regretting the severed bond between her and her daughter
Cayden brushed a strand of hair from her damp cheek. His expression remained unreadable.
He didn’t move to leave her body and Elena, still shaking, still full of him, couldn’t find the strength to make him leave.
The next day Nikolai did not return home, the house was still empty as it used to be Nikolai had not returned. Elena sat on the edge of the bed in a robe, staring at the floor, when she heard the quiet sound of the bedroom door opening again.
Cayden stood there. He had showered and changed, but the bruises on his face were still dark. He closed the door behind him
and leaned against it for a moment, watching her.
“I shouldn’t have come back,” he said.
Elena didn’t look up. “It’s okay, not your fault?” she replied giving him a soft smile
He walked over and stopped in front of her.
For a long second neither of them spoke then, Cayden reached down, tilted her chin up with two fingers, and kissed her.
It was softer than before, slower, almost careful.
Elena made a small broken sound against his mouth and kissed him back. Her hands rose to his shirt, gripping the fabric. Cayden deepened the kiss gradually, one hand sliding into her hair, the other resting at her waist when he finally pulled the robe open, he did it without a rush.
He eased her back onto the bed and followed her down their mouths and stayed connected as he settled between her legs. This time when he pushed inside her it was slow , inch by inch until he was buried deep. Elena’s breath trembled. Cayden held still, forehead pressed to hers, letting her feel every part of
him.
“Look at me,” he murmured as she did.
He began to move.
The first strokes were deep and measured, almost gentle. Elena’s hands slid up his back. Cayden kissed her like he had all the time in the world, her mouth, her jaw, the soft place beneath her ear while his hips kept that steady, rolling rhythm. The sweetness of it made her chest ache.
Then the pace changed.Cayden hooked one of her legs higher and thrust harder The soft edge sharpened.
Elena gasped as the force increased. He braced himself above her and f****d her with controlled strength, still deep, still precise, but no longer careful.
Each stroke drew a louder sound from her throat. “You feel too good,” he said against her mouth, voice rough. “I can’t stay gentle.”
“Then don’t.” Something in him snapped free.
Cayden pulled out, turned her onto her side, and entered her again from behind. One arm wrapped around her waist, the other slid under her head.
He held her tightly against his chest as he drove into her with long, powerful strokes. Elena’s fingers gripped his forearm. The new angle made every thrust hit deeper. Soft moans turned into broken cries.
He kept her close even while he f****d her harder mouth against her neck, hand splayed across her stomach, body curved protectively around hers. The combination of rough and tender made her dizzy.
When his fingers found her c**t and rubbed in firm circles, Elena came with a shaking moan, her body clenching around him.
Cayden didn’t stop.
He rolled her onto her stomach, covered her with his weight, and pushed back inside. His hands laced with hers against the mattress as he took her in deep, steady thrusts. Elena turned her face to the side, eyes half-closed, completely open to him. He kissed her shoulder, then the corner of her mouth, even as his hips kept their relentless rhythm.
“I’m going to come,” he groaned.
“Do it inside," she whispered, cayden buried himself to the hilt and finished with a low, rough sound, pulsing deep inside her while he held her hands tightly. For a long time afterward he stayed there, chest pressed to her back, both of them breathing hard.
Eventually he eased out and turned her to face him. Elena’s eyes were wet. Cayden brushed the tears away with his thumb, then kissed her once more soft again, almost reverent.
