A shuffling sound from across the street distracted him. He looked over and saw a lone person shuffling down the street. He was unsteady, having a hard time keeping his balance. A couple of times, Todd thought for sure he was going to fall over. Yet the man kept himself upright. Stupid drunks, he thought, then immediately remembered being one of them not long ago. Though he hadn't been drunk since he'd quit drugs, he did still have the occasional drink. He silently scolded himself for being so judgmental.
