"You're blushing," Rachel says and I jerk, phone nearly falling out of my grasp. Heat creeps up my neck when I find her warm brown gaze darting between me and my phone. Ryan and I have been texting the entire day. Nothing bad. He just keeps dropping random sentences on how he is doing. He took a day off work to help get Ash enrolled in school. I would be there with them if I wasn't clearing out the store. I have yet to get a new place but I can work from home, like I used to before I got the bakery. It means going back to countless home deliveries and doors getting slammed in my face but I have no choice. Not yet, at least.
