Chapter Twenty-Five
Sunday turns out to be another crazy family day. Sarah and Aiden might be off on their honeymoon, but most of the people who travelled from afar to celebrate their wedding are still around. Mom ends up inviting everyone back to our place after we’ve all left the wedding venue, which means we have at least twenty extra people hanging out at our house all afternoon and evening. And Caleb, being the super friendly guy that he is, makes friends with all of them.
I end up annoyed that I can’t sit and talk to him properly, but he promises me we’ll go out for breakfast tomorrow morning, just the two of us, before he leaves. “Are you asking me out on a date, LuminaireX?”
He kisses me then, right there in the garden where anyone who happens to be looking our way might see. “Y
