Chapter Eighteen I wake up on Thursday morning even more certain of my decision. I wait for the sick feeling while I’m eating my breakfast, and it’s definitely there, hiding somewhere beneath the muesli in my stomach, but something else is beating it down. Excitement. I’m going to be free! I park outside Matt’s parents’ house and press the button next to the gate. It opens a moment later without anyone speaking through the intercom to find out who’s outside.
