Chapter Thirty We don’t start messaging again, but we do begin leaving comments on each other’s images on Artster. I never used that function much before. I used to ‘like’ people’s artworks and chat to Lex in the private messages section of the app, and that was about it. But now we comment on each other’s art all the time. And just so it doesn’t look too weird, I make the effort to leave comments on other artist’s uploads as well. I keep waiting for the day when Lex—Caleb—sends a private message, reopening that line of communication between us, but it doesn’t come. Perhaps he thinks it’s safer this way. Comments are public.
